Thomas Benoît Lemar is a French professional football player who currently plays as a midfielder for La Liga club Atletico Madrid and the France National team. He was born on 12th November 1995 and raised in Baie-Mahault, Guadalupe, France. In the same transfer window, large sums of money were being proposed for the signature of Thomas Lemar. Arsenal and Liverpool were the top English Premier League clubs who were interested in Lemar. Arsenal’s opening bid of £31 million was rejected on the spot.
The Gunners went back and returned with a new improved bid. Arsenal made an offer of €100 million which was final. The English club were also trying to ship out Sanchez to Manchester City for €65 million but it collapsed.
