Larry Bourgeois was born on December 6, 1988, in Sarcelles, France. He has a twin brother known as Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois. Their well known as the Les Twins.

Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother are dancers, Actors, musicians, producers, choreographers, entrepreneurs and Models. Larry and his twin brother became the darlings of the French audience in 2008 as finalists on the popular television show Incroyable Talent.

He quickly rose to prominence with his twin in the United States after a video of their performance on the San Diego leg of the 2010 World of Dance Tour. The video went viral on YouTube with over 50 million views.

1. Larry Never Received any Formal Dance Training

Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother (Laurent) never received any formal dance training. Instead, they learned by observing other breakers, lockers and poppers.

 Larry taught himself classic ballet techniques, likewise to his brother. At the age of 12, Larry Bourgeois began performing in concerts and musicals with his brother.

According to WAD Magazine, “They were born dancers. They walked at 5 months, seriously moved their bodies at 18 months old, and at 9 they showed off steps they had invented to youngsters twice their age in their neighbourhood.”

2. He is the Co-founder of a Dancing Team

In 2005, the brothers formed a dancing team known as the Criminal Crew. Larry Bourgeois and his brother recruited five members to form the dance team.

The team Spent the next few years competing in hip-hop tournaments and entertaining crowds. They entertained the crowds as street performers and in clubs.

Additionally, the team danced to sold-out audiences in the musical pas de Quartier. This was at France’s esteemed Avignon Festival in 2007.

3. Gained Attention of the Dance Community by Defeating French Street Dancers

Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother have been always good at dancing. In March 2008, they gained the attention of the dance community.

This was after defeating french Street Dancers. During the semi-finals of the prestigious international dance competition Juste Debout.

After the success, Larry and his brothers were finalists and audience favourites on season 3 of Incroyable Talent. It was aired on M6.

Larry was among the top twelve finalists competing on the Incroyable Talent finale show. It was attended by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and watched by over 4 million viewers. This was on November 13, 2008.

4. He has Performed Alongside Beyonce Several Times

In 2011, Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother performed alongside Beyonce. This was at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.

Furthermore, the same year, they performed alongside Beyonce at various events. This includes the U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival, the BET Awards, and the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.

Larry Bourgeois and his brother gained greater attention on the world stage in 2011. Additionally, they joined Beyonce on French television shows. These were X-Factor and Le Grand to promote her album.

Interestingly, Larry Bourgeois and his brother were the only featured male dancers in one of her videos. This was the alternate version of her “Run the World (Girls)” music video.

In 2019, he played in three films. The men in Black, International As Alien Twin, Homecoming, A film by Beyonce as Les Twins.

Additionally, in 2018 he starred in the Revolution in 37 episodes as a judge. He also played the role of Larry Jordan in Breaking Through,2015.

7. Larry is Recognized for his Large Afro and Trademark Style of dress

Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother are well recognized for their large afros and trademark style of dress. The dressing is unique, backwards pants, neck warmers and Kneepads worn around the ankles.

In 2010 Larry and his twin brother bagged the Battle of the stylez, Germany. In 2011 he won the Juste Debut Japan, Hip-hop New Style Division.

Larry and his brother were nominated for the 2011 Youth Rocks Awards, the Rockin’ Dance Group of the year. Larry won individually the Hip hop international for the All Style Final World Battle award.

In 2015, Larry won the Full Force “7 to smoke” All styles Battle, Las Vegas. In the same, he was nominated for the World of Dance Industry Awards, for the Simple Mobile Game Charge Freestyle Award.

9. His Dancing Style is Categorised as New Style Hip-hop

Larry Bourgeois is always dancing with his twin brother. Their dance style is often categorised as New style hip-hop. A commercial form of hip hop with a strong emphasis on isolation and musicality.

Larry Bourgeois and his team created a unique style known as the “Twin-style”. This was due to the ability to anticipate and finish each other’s moves.

Additionally, Larry and his brother gained fame for their timing and skills in making freestyle dance unique. They made the dance look like Choreography.

Larry and his brother have visited various countries to teach about their original choreography. These countries include France, the U.S, Japan, Canada, Russia, Germany, Italy, Finland, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Kyrgyzstan.
