Olivier Giroud is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for France national team and Series A club AC Millan.

Olivier Giroud was born in Chambery France in the Rhone Alpes region however he was raised in the nearby village of Froges.

The village is in the Isere department in southeastern France which was very close to Grenoble. Furthermore, Giroud started his football career for his hometown club Olympique club de Froges in the year 1992.

He spent five years developing in Grenoble鈥檚 youth academy before signing his first professional contract at the age of 21.

However, ahead of the 2005 and 2006 seasons, he was promoted to the club鈥檚 reserve team which was playing in the Championnat de France Amateur 2 which was the fifth level of French football.

Giroud quickly became an important player in the team scoring 15 goals in 15 matches.
