Dublin is always on the top of most visitors’ bucket lists. Whether it is due to the Guinness flowing in the pubs, the friendly locals, or the beautiful green scenery just steps away from the downtown area, Dublin is one of the best capitals to visit for curious foreigners who want to get a taste of what Ireland is really like.
Along With cute towns like Galway, Cork, Kenmare, Kinsale, Killarney, Sligo, and much more, Dublin is a must-visit for first-time tourists to Ireland. Dublin gives visitors a feel for what Irish culture is like, complete with cultural attractions, outdoor experiences, local events, live music, traditional Irish pubs, and Irish accents that will make you say, “sorry…what?”
Let’s see the best streets that you must walk down during your upcoming holiday to the Emerald Isle. Although there is really no bad place to visit in Dublin, there are certain areas and neighborhoods that are more picturesque than others. We have done the research and the walking for you, so you can hit all of the hotspots without wandering down any dingy streets.
Drury Street

Complete with independent coffee bars, cool vintage shops, interesting exterior artwork, murals, graffiti, and Irish design, we love the hometown vibe of this tree. It is not a street with historical architecture or fancy buildings, but the local art scene really comes alive on Drury Street. We recommend heading to one of the wine bars, fashionable gift shops, or cocktail bars.
Capel Street

For history buffs, Capel Street is a must. Known as one of the most historic streets in the entire city, Capel Street is also just a few steps away from The Complex arts center, Pantibar gay bar, and Brother Hubbard North. Brother Hubbard is one of the most popular brunch spots in town, featuring classics like the Irish fry and mouth-watering dishes like a sumptuous Eggs Benedict. Plus, Pantibar is home to some of the best drag queen performances in the city — Capel Street has it all!
South Great George’s Street

Whenever you want to visit a shop or go somewhere in Dublin, South Great George’s Street seems to be the passageway and the means of transportation. This long and straight pathway that connects Rathmines to the center of Dublin is home to some of the main tourist hotspots and local tourist hidden gems that we want to keep a secret! However, we do recommend heading to Network for one of the best oat milk lattes in the city — and finishing up with a pint of Guinness or craft beer at The Bernard Shaw pub.
Manor Street

Located in Stoneybatter, Manor Street is home to trendy businesses, gastropubs, and cafes that make you never want to leave Dublin. We recommend heading to Love Supreme for a flaky croissant and strong espresso that will really give you a jolt in the morning. For an afternoon pick-me-up, head to L. Mulligan Grocer for craft beer and tasty dishes at one of the best gastropubs in the entire city.
Cow’s Lane

Okay, so this isn’t really a street, but we had to add it anyway. Cow’s Lane is part of the famous and bustling Temple Bar area, the pedestrian-only section of Dublin that is also packed to the hilt with tourists who have just stepped off of the tour buses. Escape the madness by visiting Cow’s Lane and grabbing a coffee at the Queen of Tarts or getting some Irish paraphernalia at April and Bear’s outlet.
