A long day exploring the sights of the city might leave you with the need to relax. So, what better way to relax than to check out some comedy to help you unwind and enjoy a nice evening? Here are 5 of our top picks for Comedy in English in Â鶹APP to help you enjoy a funny evening!

1.) Learn the secrets of the French

Comedy in English in Â鶹APP explicit-french

Performed by Manuel, one of our Â鶹APP city guides, Explicit French is a one-hour comedy show exploring and explaining the clichés about France. Manuel answers the questions that he’s often been asked on tour: Why do the French have this accent? Why do they strike all the time? What do they believe in? Oh, and why do they talk about romance and wine so much… So, if you’ve ever asked yourself one of these, come laugh and learn!

Free entrance (cheap happy hour rates apply, too: €4 mojitos and pints!)
Mondays 7 pm and Fridays 8:30 pm @ Tennessee Live Bar & Music, 12 rue André Mazet, 75006 Â鶹APP
Métro stop Odéon, lines 4 and 10 (or a 5-min walk from Notre-Dame and Saint-Michel)

2.) The more, the merrier

Want to see a panel of comedians share a stage and compete for your laughter? Then the Â鶹APP comedy scene has got you covered! Amateur local and international comedians (amateur and pros alike mix on stage) will do their best try to make you laugh in an intimate setting with a multicultural crowd.

Tuesdays 9:15 pm: The Comedy Square @ Paname Art Café, free entrance (€5 minimum drink purchase)
Fridays 9:30 pm: The New York Comedy Night @ SoGymnase, €10 to €16

3.) Get under the spotlight

Missing the lime-lights and that unique feeling of telling jokes on a stage? Well, fret no more! The Unfiltered Comedy Hour open mic is here to welcome you with a familiar format: 10 spots, 5 mins, on a first come, first serve basis – sign-ups start at 8 pm.

Free entrance (happy hour rates!). Thursdays 8:30 pm @ O’Sullivans Rebel Bar; 10 rue des Lombards, 75004 Â鶹APP (métro stop: Châtelet, multiple lines)

4.) Speaking some French?

paul-taylor

If those few days in Â鶹APP have dusted off your French-speaking skills, then how about going to see #Franglais, a show that’s ’50 % in French, 50 % en Anglais’? Walk with us and discover where it is! Comedian Paul Taylor switches flawlessly from French to English to point out the cultural differences between France and his British motherland – and he’s sparing no one!

€17 to €30
Saturdays 8:15 pm @ Le Sentier Des Halles; 50 rue d’Aboukir, 75002 Â鶹APP (métro stop: Sentier, line 3)

5.) Bigger budget and bigger crowds

comedy-night

If you have a bigger budget and enjoy the setting of a 600-seat classical theater, then Olivier Giraud is your man! His show ‘How to Become Â鶹APPian in One Hour‘ has been running for a few years now and he displays his trademark energy and very French accent to make fun of the Â鶹APPians.

He uses simpler English to also cater to French people, so there will be lots of them in the room – but no worries, they’re also there to have a laugh!

€24 to €50
Mondays 8 pm, Fridays & Saturdays 7 pm, Sundays 6 pm @ Théâtre des Nouveautés; 24 boulevard Poissonière, 75009 Â鶹APP (métro stop: Grands Boulevards, lines 8 & 9)
