Shu Qi also known as Lin Li-Hui was born on April 16, 1976, in Xindian, Taipei County, Taiwan. She is an actress and one of the most paid actresses in the Chinese entertainment industry. She got married in 2016 to actor Stephen Fung after four years of dating.

At age of 17, she moved from her hometown, Xindian to Hong Kong in search of a film career. She eventually came under the management of Hong Kong film producer Manfred Wong and he signed her to several Hong Kong Category III films such as sex & Zen II.

She has won several Awards in her film career such as,

Golden Horse film festival and Awards is a film festival and Awards ceremony held annually in Taiwan.  It was founded in 1962 by the Government Information Office of the Republic of China in Taiwan. The original intention was to promote Taiwanese film production and recognize excellent Taiwanese films and outstanding filmmakers.

Shu Qi received several Golden Horse Awards. In 1998, won the prestigious 35th Golden Horse Award for the best-supporting Actress. She as well received another Golden Horse Award in 2005 for a best leading actress at the 10^th Asian Film Awards for The Assassin. Not forgetting she received the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2^nd Golden Bauhinia Awards for her good performance in ‘Viva Erotica’.

 Manfred Wong signed her to several Hong Kong Category III films such as Sex & Zen II (1996 Hong Kong erotic comedy film directed by Chin Man Kei) which made her famous.

10. She was Selected by Kenzo Takada to be part of the Third Advertising Campaign

Shu Qi was selected by Kenzo Takada from 2006 to 2009 to be part of the third advertising campaign for its successful fragrance Flower by Kenzo. Kenzo Takada was a Japanese fashion designer living in France.

He founded Kenzo, a worldwide clothing brand, that also markets skincare and perfumes, Takada was the honorary president of the Asian Couture Federation.
