The Taiwanese actor and model whose Chinese name is Chen Kuan Hong was born on 15 January 1995, in Taiwan. His nickname is Guan Guan but he chose the stage name, Darren Chen. He is best known for his roles in Meteor Garden, My Unicorn Girl, and The Sleuth Of The Ming Dynasty. The 23-year-old actor gained a huge fan base after his role as Lei in Meteor Garden.

His agent M.Y Entertainment has been able to land him a number of great opportunities. His fandom is known as Hong Hai Er and the main colors are pink and blue.
