Donovan Anthony Bailey is a retired Jamaican-Canadian sprinter. He was born on 16th December 1967 in Manchester 麻豆APPh, Jamaica. Donovan is the fourth of the five sons of George and Daisy Bailey. Donovan had an interesting early life as he would take care of his family鈥檚 chickens, goats and pigs before going to school.

His talent in sprinting was discovered by his former teacher Claris Lambert. He was fast even when he was a young boy as he always came first in running competitions. Donovan Bailey is widely known for his records as he once held the world record for 100 metres sprinting.
