One of Budapest’s oldest and most prestigious cooking schools is Chefparade. Their highly skilled chefs offer a wide range of international culinary classes where you can learn to prepare Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Spanish, French, and even American meals at three separate venues in the capital and one in the Etyek wine area. Additionally, they arrange cooking classes for kids, such as the Hello Halloween course on October 31 and the Pasta-parade course, and a Cupcake design course on October 23. Hungarian cooking classes are also offered by Chefparade if you wish to explore the world of regional cuisine. These classes start at a nearby farmers market where you can buy fresh, local foods and learn about the market’s history, and they go until lunchtime. The lesson is intended for those who are interested in learning about world cuisine, larger groups (events for up to 40 people), those who prefer to select dishes from a broad variety, those who want to prepare something special that isn’t on the menu, and those who love cooking in a contemporary cooking studio.

Easy Cooking Budapest offers a 4-5 hour culinary and cultural trip that includes a local farmers market tour and is situated in the 9th district, not far from the city center. Reviews found on the internet claim that the host, Cecilia, is meticulous. The meeting location is near the Great Market Hall’s entrance, where you may shop for ingredients, sample local specialties like wine and cheese, and perhaps pick out some souvenirs to bring back with you. From the market, you take a taxi to the kitchen, where you’ll receive an apron and some slippers before listening to a fascinating presentation on Hungarian cuisine. You’ll be preparing a four-course supper, so that’s the menu. There are two options for starters (krözött or pogácsa), two for soups (pea soup or goulash soup), two for entrées (chicken paprika or vegetarian fried cheese), and two for desserts (poppy seed bread pudding or cottage cheese dumplings).

The program must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance and is designed for a minimum of two persons. One bottle of wine is included for each guest. German speakers may also participate in the culinary class. This lesson is for people who want to cook a 4-course meal rather than a 3-course meal, company owners to entertain clients, businesses for teambuilding, both English and German speakers, and who wish to undertake a combined market trip and cooking class in less than 6 hours.
