Nikita Nguyen, also known as Nikita Dragun is a profession makeup artist, model and You Tuber. Nikita was born back in 1996 and is of Vietnamese and Hispanic descent. Nikita came out as Trans as a teenager and talked freely of her identity on social media.

She joined the world of content creation back in 2013 by creating her own You Tube channel. She revealed that form that moment she received minor brand deals that which led to the growth of her fans.

At this moment she made the decision to join all other social media platform to build her career in the competitive industry. She now has a huge following on all media platform.

1.Nikita has changed her name severally

Actually, Nikita has gone by a few different names. There are different tales that show how Nikita arrived at the name that she currently goes by. She changed her name severally while she tried to navigate collage, coming out and raising to fame.

It is believed that after she declined the full scholarship at NYU, she opted to change her name and began dressing as a woman. She enrolled into a business university with a fake Identification card to conceal his real identity.

She first changed her name to Nicole while attending the course in Los Angeles. She later on opened up in her You Tube channel about the procedures she had undergone to become a woman. She finally settled for the name Nikita after she got an inspiration form one of her favorite shows.

Nikita Dragun has been outspoken about her experience coming out as a transgender woman. She even shares her experiences on the procedures on her You Tube channel in one of her Q&A sessions.

She now uses her position to advocate for the rights of the Trans community. Despite being given the gender of a man at birth, Nikita Dragun has revealed that she has known she is a girl since she was a little child.

She however did not reveal this to her family as it seemed absurd. Nikita underwent a number of cosmetic surgeries to feminize her look, including a tracheal shave, breast augmentation, and face feminization surgery. Her physical transition was started with hormone replacement treatment. She now feels confident as a woman as opposed to hoe she felt before all this procedures.

3.Nikita comes form Mexican and Vietnamese descent

Nikita`s parents are of Mexican and Vietnamese descent. Her distinctive heritage has significantly shaped her identity and has shaped the way she views beauty and self-expression.

Due to her mixed origin, Nikita encountered several linguistic and cultural hurdles. She however embraces all aspects of her heritage and believes her heritage has significantly affected who she is now. She finds inspiration for her cosmetic styles in both Vietnamese and Mexican cultures.

From this she has advocated for greater inclusivity and diversity in product offerings and advertising. She uses her position of influence to encourage diversity and representation in the beauty business.

4.Nikita has med several collaborations with beauty brands

Dragun has worked on product collections with numerous significant makeup companies. He has used his position to advocate for inclusivity of all races and nationalities.

Back in 2018, Nikita worked with Too Faced to create the Tutti Frutti collection. The eye shadow palettes, lip glosses, and highlighters in the line included cheery and vibrant hues that were influenced by Nikita’s love of all things tutti frutti.

Later on in 2019, Nikita and Morphe worked together to create a makeup line that featured a lip trio, brush set, and eye shadow pallet. The products generated form the collaboration greatly complemented Nikita’s distinctive makeup styles.

5.Nikita has a daring and striking look

Nikita Dragun is renowned for her daring and striking makeup looks, which frequently use vibrant hues, glitter, and intense contouring. Nikita has a passion in drag looks and therefore empresses herself in striking and daring looks.

She frequently uses drag makeup techniques, such as thick contouring and exaggerated brows, in her appearances. As the first transgender person of Vietnamese and Mexican ethnicity to appear on the cover of Paper magazine, Nikita Dragun made history in 2019. She featured in the Break the Internet edition of the paper.

This edition sought to honor trailblazers who are shaping culture. Nikita featured on the cover of this edition in a bright pink wig and striking a ferocious attitude. This was a turning point for the Trans community at large.

The edition was also in support for inclusivity and diversity by challenging conventional beauty standards. Nikita was interviewed by Paper and was frank about her experience as a Trans woman.

7.Charitable works

Nikita Dragun is also well known for her charitable work and campaigning on behalf of transgender rights. Nikita has used her social media platforms to advocate for acceptance and understanding of transgender persons while raising awareness on the difficulties experienced by Trans people.

She often shares her personal transgender experiences in public to create awareness and acceptance of Trans people to the community. Nikita has also donated generously to a number of groups and projects that promote Trans rights.

Nikita Dragun recently in 2019 established the cosmetics company Dragun Beauty. The aim of this company is to promote diversity and inclusivity while empowering people to express themselves through makeup.

Some of the product that the company produces are, highlighters, eye shadow, and lip cosmetics. The Dragun Fire Skin Perfecting Potion, a color-correcting primer which is  intended to produce a faultless foundation for applying cosmetics, is one of the most well-known items from the line.

The beauty brand is dedicated to diversity and celebrates all genders, identities, and skin tones. This is a huge move in the cosmetic industry.

10.Nikita was selected as one on the Forbes 30 under 30

Nikita Dragun was selected as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in the Art & Style category for the year 2020. The Forbes was established to give tribute to young business people, visionaries, and leaders who have made major contributions to their fields.

Nikita award is a major accomplishment in her work and is testimonial to her hard work and resilience.  Being listed as one of the Forbes 30 under 30 is evidence that she has a strong influence on matters fashion beauty. Nikita has also received special recognition in the Art & Style category, which honors young trailblazers.
