This Belarusian Heavyweight kickboxer, Alexey Ignashov was born on 18 January 1978. He has received world titles in boxing such as the Muay Thai World Championships, where he maintained a four-time record as champion.
 
Additionally, he won the K-1 World Grand Prix from 2000 up to 2003. He also stood tall as a World Heavyweight Champion under the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) in 1999 and 2000.
 
He’s quite the stinger on the ring. Thus, the likes of Badr Hari (a Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer from Amsterdam) and a few more can attest to the pain of his sting. It’s no surprise he is nicknamed “The Scorpion”.

He managed a decision win over Remy Bonjasky who is a former Surinamese-Dutch kickboxer and a three times K-1 champion. Also, by a decision he was able to score a victory over Peter Aerts, another champion earlier discussed.
 
To add to his decision wins, he prides knockout highlights against famed Semmy Schilt and Badr Hari. Over and above that, one of his memorable career footings was established in a fight against Rob Kaman.
 
Kaman isn’t your ordinary boxer. The legend is a retired Dutch 9-time Kickboxing champion as well as a Muay Thai world champion. He was dreaded for his low kick attacks and was nicknamed “Mr. Low Kick”.
 
Alexey dared to fight Rob. Though he lost by decision, Kaman took notice of his challenge and handed the trophy to Ignashov after the fight.

After resuming the significant ring battles, Ignashov dipped his toe in the pool with a K-1 championship fight against Badr Hari in April 2010.
 
Ignashov lost by unanimous decision. Understandably so because he had been inactive in the ring. Yet his fans criticized him big time for the loss.
 
He decided to embark on training and then have a rubber match with Badr Hari. He flexed his muscles in different fights from then on. Such as the 20th October 2012 Kazan, Russia match against Zinedine Hameur-Lain and won by decision.
 
Afterward, Alexey faced defeat by Tomáš Hron by unanimous decision in Nitra, Slovakia. In the end, he secured a rubber match with Badr Hari as he wished on 9 November 2013 in Moscow. But he still lost by unanimous decision yet again.
 
Alexey Ignashov has made notable strides in his boxing career. To boot the achievements indicated at the beginning of this article, he was the 2015 World Kickboxing Network (WKN) champion.
 
On top of that, he got the coveted World Professional Kickboxing League (WPKL) title. He became WPKL Muay Thai European Champion in 2000.
