Where to Sing Karaoke in Barcelona
I’ll start by stating that karaoke is by no means “my thing”; but it seems it is a big thing to the friends I attract, and as a result I’ve spent my fair share of time in a few of Barcelona’s most rowdy karaoke bars.
We’ve all been there. It’s midnight, you and your group have all had a few drinks and are very much in the party mood, and there’s always that one guy who clearly did some tequilas by himself at some point and can’t stop pushing the karaoke idea. He almost always gets his way.
A Viva Voz Karaoke in Barcelona
I believe there are two of these karaoke venues in Barcelona, one in Eixample and one slightly further south.
I’ve only ever been to the Eixample spot; it’s close to el Raval which makes it easy access from all of the Barcelona bars where you’re friend has been shooting tequila while you weren’t looking.
I’ll go out on a limb here and say that I didn’t actually hate my time at A Viva Voz as much as I thought I was going to. It’s an old school karaoke bar, complete with a step-up stage and kitsch red furniture, like some sort of makeshift theatre.

This karaoke bar opens earlier than all others in the city, allowing guests to start drinking and singing from 7pm. Other karaoke spots in Barcelona open much later, which means the customers arrive a few hours deep into their drinking, and everything is a little bit sillier.
Patrons at A Viva Voz take their five minutes of fame very seriously. These are true karaoke lovers, armed with their go-to ballads and game faces. A really fun night out in Barcelona if you genuinely love this activity.

Touch Music Karaoke in Barcelona
Three things you need to do while in Barcelona are 1) visit the beaches at Barceloneta, 2) take a free guided walking tour through the city’s oldest neighborhood, and 3) find a reason to visit Touch Music Karaoke at least one evening while out on the town.
This is the only other karaoke bar in the city that takes the performances more seriously than selling alcohol. The bar has put thought and effort into ways to make this a fun space for all who enter, be they performers or just spectators.

Karaoke Restaurante Nick in Barcelona
When the bars of the city center kick you out at 3am, it’s a short leap to this karaoke bar in the city-south.
Karaoke Restaurante Nick is always an interesting experience. For one, the name is hugely misleading, since there is nothing to eat at this “restaurant”. Secondly, the crowd can be a hit or miss depending on the day of the week; sometimes everyone is genuinely out to have a good time, and sometimes it’s like a room full of people who have never been hugged.

The bright side is always that Karaoke Restaurant Nick (without any food) stays open until 6am, seven days a week. It’s where you go when there is nowhere else to go.
Like Touch Music, there is a €10 entrance fee that covers your access to all of the songs as well as your first drink. The systems are outdated, but it is hilarious when lyrics come up incorrectly during well known songs.

Sor Rita Bar in Barcelona
You can quite literally do anything in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. You can eat and drink to your hearts content, shop trending boutique wear, marvel at some of the countries oldest architecture, learn Spanish history via a guided walking tour, walk five minutes to the beach, and even sing karaoke!
This bar is the epitome of kitsch. You should pay it a visit just to see the choice of interiors, it really is quite something. There are high heeled shoes stuck all over the ceiling, as well as handmade underwear that you can purchase for a small fee.

Karaoke happens at Sor Rita Bar on Thursday evenings. You can expect a lot of students to arrive to sing in big groups; this is a popular bar amongst the locals.
Sor Rita, for some reason unbeknownst to me, does not serve food on Tuesdays at all.

The George Payne Irish Bar in Barcelona
When you’re at a loss of where to find karaoke in Europe, it’s always a safe bet to head to an Irish bar.
The George Payne Bar is also in the Gothic Quarter. True to Irish tradition, their karaoke nights are unplanned and work off a roster that is decided early in the week. You either keep up with their social media, or head over to see what’s happening in hopes of finding that tonight is the night.

Fridays are live music nights, so you’ll never find karaoke then.
Overall the food is decent, drinks are generous (though slightly on the pricy side) and the space is always festive.
