Nusrat Imrose Tisha is a sizzling multi-talented Bangladeshi actress, model, and producer. She has appeared mainly in Bengali films and television. Nusrat, a popular powerhouse, has garnered praise for her appearances on both the small screen on the TV and the silver screen.

Starting her very illustrious career at the young age of seventeen, Imrose Tisha first appeared in a Bengali television drama that served as her debut in the industry in 1998. She is more famously associated with the reality television competition, “Notun Kuri鈥�. Apart from her very talented performances, here鈥檚 a list of things about the star you need to know.

1.Her Favorite Person is Her Father

Tisha鈥檚 father, Enamul Hoque is her favorite person. He wanted her to be a famous singer and so he invested in her skills and talent early on in her life. Tisha started learning music at the young age of five. Later on, she participated in a Bengali reality television Notun Kuri where she won second place.

She credits her interest and start in the creative arts to her father who encouraged and nurtured her talent from the start. Unfortunately, her father died in a road accident, robbing her of her number one supporter but he remains to be her favorite person.

2.She was The Goodwill Ambassador of Korea in Bangladesh

In September 2013, Imrose Tisha was named the Goodwill Ambassador of Korea in Bangladesh by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea. This appointment was a two-year-long contract where she was tasked with promoting the mission鈥檚 public diplomacy. The appointment came in a year when Korea was celebrating its 40 years of diplomatic ties with Bangladesh. Her appointment was set to promote and further cultural exchange ties between the two countries.

By now we all know that Nusrat Imrose Tisha is a multi-talented star. Apart from her very remarkable acting skills, she is also a musician with several hits under her belt. Her start in the musical world started with an all-female music band going by the name Angel Four. Rumana, Nafisa Jahan, and Dilshad Nahar were the other talents in the group. However, the group, unfortunately, fell apart in 2003 as her acting career started to take off. Diversity is not only retained in her acting skills.

4. She Started Her Career in a Reality Show

Bangladesh television hunt program Notun Kuri in 1993 is what discovered the powerhouse today known as Nusrat Imrose Tisha. There she obtained second place. The next year she won the gold cup. After two years, her next career move she acted as a child actor in a drama. Gradually, Tisha established herself as an actress and model and became a regular face in TV dramas and films.

5.Nusrat Tisha’s Breakout Movie was an Oscar Entry

In 2009, Nusrat Imrose Tisha broke into the movies with her leading role in Third Person Singular Number. In the movie, Tisha played the role of a young lonely woman and her grim life. The film, directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki and Anisul Hoque, premiered at the Pusan International Film Festival in 2009.

It then went on to compete in the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and had its European premiere at the Rotterdam IFF in 2010 as well. The film was so good, it was Bangladesh’s official entry to the 83rd Oscar’s foreign film category. It however did not make the shortlist. The entire film revolved around Tisha’s character.

6. She Is Married to Director and Screenwriter of Her Break Out Movie

After five years of lowkey romance, filmmaker Mostafa Sarwar Farooki and Nusrat Imrose Tisha tied the knot in 2010. The wedding ceremony was held at a local hotel and many major celebrities from various sectors of the industry were in attendance. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter in January 2022 after almost a decade of marriage.

7.Nusrat is a Model

Tisha first modeled for Meri Lipjel as her debut modeling gig. Since then she has had major brand modeling contracts that have cemented her as a key model in the industry. Some of the brands she has worked with are, Coca-Cola, Citycell, Parachute, Bombay Sweets, and Keya Cosmetics.

In the early days of her career, she participated in beauty pageants and won some of them. She won the Meril Prothom Alo Awards for modeling in 2003 and followed up that win with another one in 2004. On television screens, Tisha has modeled in an ad for Square among many others.

In 2010, she won the Meril Prothom Awards for Best Television Actress. In 2009, she bagged the same award only this time in the film category. In 2016, she also won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress. All these awards just attest to how good of an actress she is.
