Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur who was born on 17th December 1979,and famously known by her stage name Shabnur, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film Dui Noyoner Alo (2005).

1.She made her debut in 1993 in a movie called Chandni Raatey

Shabnur debuted her career with co-actor Shabbir in the 1993 film Chandni Raatey, directed by Ehtesham. She got her breakthrough in her second film Tumi Amar, co-acted with Salman Shah in 1994.Shabnur co-acted with Salman until his death in 1996.

She later acted with Omar Sunny, Riaz, Ferdous Ahmed, and Shakib Khan, among others.After a year-long break, two films, Bhalobasha Saint Martin-e and Attogopon, of Shabnur were releasedin 2012. In 2013, she acted in Kichhu Asha Kicchu Bhalobasha.

Shabnur was previously reported to have had an affair with actor Salman Shah who was married at that time. The events resulted problems in his marriage and his eventual suicide in 1996. It was one worst side of her life and she has always distanced herself from the incident. 

Shabnur got engaged with Anik Mahmud on 6 December 2011 and got married on 28 December 2012.They are divorced on 04 March, 2020 Anik is a businessman. Together they have a son Aijan Nehan. She has since decided to keep her love life private.

Her biological father Kazi Nasir was burnt to death on  a bus during the anti-government movement in Sylhet.Most people know Shahjahan Chowdhury as Shabnur鈥檚 father, but he did not give birth to her and is infact her step father. 

The first meeting with Shahjahan Chowdhury was in 1996 with Shabnur鈥檚 mother. Then he fell in love with Shabnur鈥檚 mother and got married. Shabnur still calls Shahjahan Chowdhury her uncle. She is one of the most successful actresses in Bengali cinema.

The golden days of the Bengali film industry had called when she was acting. She performed so well that people would go to Cinema Hall to watch her performances.She is one of Bangladesh’s most loved and most popular actresses.
