Army Golf Club is a golf club in Dhaka Cantonment, Bangladesh operated by Bangladesh Army. It is dedicated to providing world-class golfing facilities to golfers in Bangladesh.
The Golf Club was founded on 28 May 2001 and was opened by then Chief of Army Staff Lt General M Harun-Ar-Rashid. It is affiliated with Kurmitola Golf Club and has a 9-hole course of over 40 acres in size.

1. Army Golf Club is Located within Dhaka Cantonment
Army Golf Club is located within Dhaka Cantonment in the northern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The cantonment hosts the headquarters of the Bangladesh Army and the Air Force.
The Cantonment is home to all other Bangladesh’s major military installations including the 6th Independent Air defense Artillery Brigade, Defence Services Command & Staff College, the 14th Independent Engineer Brigade, and the 86th Independent Signal Brigade.
It also hosts the Army golf clubhouse, the golf garden, Kurmitola Golf Club, Senakunja auditorium, Bangladesh Army Stadium, and Dhaka cantonment Bangabandhu museum.

The golf course is well maintained and meets international golf tournament standards. The main features of the course layout are the strategic arrangement of water hazards and bunkers including a few ponds that dot its landscape.
Its Fairways are separated by lines of coconut trees, betel nut, jack fruit, mango trees, litchi, and palm trees to preserve its environment, lush green, and its serenity.

Army Golf Club was founded on 26 May 2001 and owns a challenging 2945 yards, 36 par covering about 40 acres of land. It is located inside Dhaka Cantonment neighboring Hotel Radisson on the south and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on the north.
The minimum travel time from Dhaka’s best hotels, international airport, and easy access from the main highway to the city center makes AGC a good choice for golfers from home and abroad.
Army Golf Club has successfully completed the construction works of Club House Complex brushing aside all odds and financial constraints. The complex contains Club House and Banquet Hall.

The Club House is a fair-faced 2-story building on a 4-story foundation having a floor area of 33,786 sqft. The ground floor contains Lounge, Cafe, Indoor game, pro shop, Modern kitchen, Prayer hall, Porch, Reception lobby, Lockers, and a Gym
The floor contains 25 feet wide deck, Restaurant, a Conference room three VIP suits, and a mosque. The Banquet Hall is a single-story fair-faced building of 36 ft in height and can accommodate700 persons at a time.
This hall is available to the members at subsidy and to the general people at a normal rate. It is supported by a modern kitchen and served by a set of highly skilled and professional catering staff.
5. Army Golf Club Garden
The Golf Garden is located on the same land as the army Golf Club. It is sandwiched between Radisson Water Garden Hotel to the south and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to the north. It is a single-story fair-faced building, 36 feet in height, and can accommodate 600 persons at a time.
The hall is available to the members of the army Golf Club at subsidy and to the general people at a normal rate. It is supported by a modern kitchen and served by a set of highly skilled and professional catering staff.
It is most convenient to organize a party due to its location as it is outside the Cantonment. One can organize conferences, family get-togethers, wedding events, and other social functions. The complex has a parking capacity of 400 vehicles.
6. Kurmitola Golf Club

Kurmitola Golf Club is a prestigious golf club located in Dhaka Cantonment, Bangladesh, the same as Army Golf Club. It is also Operated by Bangladesh Army with the Chief of Army Staff as its president.
The club was formed in 1956 and shifted to its current location in 1966. In 2016 the golf club was offered to foreign diplomats residing in the country but was later withdrawn due to security reasons.
A former caddy at the golf club became the first Bangladeshi in history to compete in golf at the Olympics in 2016. The club has held professional national and international golfing tournaments.
7. Senakunja Auditorium
Senakunja is the official auditorium and convention center of the Bangladesh Armed Forces also located in Dhaka Cantonment. The venue holds official events for the Bangladesh Armed Forces and other social gatherings.
The Annual Armed Forces Day is held here on 21 November to commemorate the establishment of the Bangladesh military in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation war.
It also holds an annual Iftar party hosted by the Bangladesh Armed Forces and attended by the elite members of the Bangladesh community.
8. The Bangladesh Army Stadium

Another major feature near the Army Golf Club is the Bangladesh Army Stadium. It is a multi-purpose stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh which currently is mostly used for football matches.
The stadium hosts the home sports matches of the Bangladesh Army and has a capacity of 20,000. In 2021 the stadium was used as a Covid-19 Pandemic testing station for people traveling abroad.
9. Army Golf Club Membership
Army Golf Club is not open to the public; it offers full membership to Serving Defence Services Officers, Retired Defense Services Officers, and MES serving/ retired officers of the rank of Major and above or equivalent.
Serving Civil Government Officers of the rank of Joint Secretary or equivalent and above are also eligible for membership.
Local Bangladeshi Members may apply for membership, but must have Minimum age of 30 years and must be a university graduate. They also should be a regular taxpayer and work at a senior management level for reputed Multi National or National Companies.
10. Army Golf Club Dressing Code
Like many other Golf clubs around the world, the army golf club has its own dressing code that must be followed by all members. A Member should wear a shirt or a tee shirt and must be tucked in with trousers.
Shorts should be below knee length while jeans trousers and jogging shoes are not allowed on the army golf course. A member should only wear golf shoes.
