The duo hired renowned Lankan-Japanese Chef Dharshan Munidas to head their kitchen and he could very well be their secret weapon. The establishment has stood firm by its policy that dictates no artificial, canned, or frozen crab meat should ever be served at their restaurant.  

Going by its name, crabs are the ‘stars of the show’ here. On their menu, you will find crab liver plates, crab salads, pepper crab, baked crab, and garlic shrimp. Anything crab goes, ranging from small-sized 500g crabs to enormous 2kg ones.  

The restaurant serves juicy, fresh plates of seafood prepared in various herbs, spices, and flavors from Sri Lanka. The management’s dedication to seafood has led to sustainable growth and expansion to Manila, Shanghai, Mumbai, and the Maldives.    

3. Jumbo Seafood 

This restaurant opened its doors in 1987. It began with a single outlet in Bangkok before opening other branches in Singapore and China. Currently, this restaurant has franchised all over Asia. 

Like its name, the portions served are huge and of very high quality, serving only fresh seafood cooked to perfection. The restaurant garnered its fame both locally and internationally for its award-winning jumbo dishes, such as the Singapore chili crab and black pepper crab.
