The streets are a little windier, the people are a little weirder and the houses a little more crooked. It\u2019s all part of the magic in the 18th arrondissement; I went in search for some nightlife to match. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I wanted to steer clear of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/discover-paris-hidden-secrets-of-pigalle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pigalle<\/a> strip at the bottom of Montmartre hill which, as we know, is one long road of unusual. I imagine there aren\u2019t many other places in the world where once can purchase wholesome tapas and a strip tease within the same vicinity; or enjoy a drink in what was once an opium den (looking at you, Moulin Rouge).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What unusual spaces exist further up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-3-statues-to-find-in-montmartre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Montmartre<\/a>? Marlusse et Lapin in Montmartre <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">14 Rue Germain Pilon<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">From the outside of Marlusse et Lapin you\u2019d never begin to imagine what kind of unusual setting exists within. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The bar is two blocks from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-interesting-facts-about-the-i-love-you-wall-in-montmartre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I Love You Wall<\/a> near the western end of the hill. It opens promptly at 6pm every night; this is when you may want to arrive. It\u2019s tiny and fills up before 8pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The bar layout is actually a fully equipped, old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-boutique-hotels-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hotel<\/a> room. Bar \u00c0 Bulles in Montmartre <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">4Bis Cit\u00e9 V\u00e9ron<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">During the late 18 and early 1900s, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-historical-facts-about-the-moulin-rouge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Moulin Rouge<\/a> housed a giant elephant in its back courtyard that was hollowed out inside to hold private opium parties. When the property burned down 1915 the den was lost forever. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It took six years for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-reasons-to-visit-the-moulin-rouge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moulin Rouge<\/a> to be rebuilt into the establishment it is today. It feels as though someone was simply storing mismatched furniture and lampshades in an empty room and people just happened to start drinking. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The bar is strictly a nightlife venue during the week. On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-best-things-to-do-on-saturdays-in-montmartre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saturdays<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-best-things-to-do-on-sundays-in-montmartre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sundays<\/a>, however, they are open from midday right through until 2am featuring a full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-best-brunches-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brunch<\/a> and dinner menu complete with tapas!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The best part?
