The Dali Museum in Montmartre <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">11 Rue Poulbot<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-reasons-to-visit-the-dali-museum-of-paris-in-montmartre\/\">The Dali Museum<\/a> only recently underwent very necessary renovations before being reopened to the people of Montmartre. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The museum can be found a short walk from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-historical-facts-about-the-place-du-tertre\/\">Place du Tertre<\/a>, the artists square of Montmartre were you can have your portrait painted by any of the 150 artists. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/10-interesting-facts-about-salvador-dali\/\">Dali<\/a> Museum is the largest permanent collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/all-about-salvador-dalis-life-in-paris\/\">Dali<\/a> works in France. This is my favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-3-statues-to-find-in-montmartre\/\">Montmartre<\/a> based museum due to it\u2019s whimsical and easy to explore nature. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The museum is built inside of a townhouse dating back to 1830. The museum also organizes regular activity days for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/10-best-museums-to-visit-with-children-in-paris\/\">children<\/a>, so that parents can visit without needing to occupy the little ones the entire time. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Just being on the museum grounds is enough to whisk you away back to a time long before Montmartre was the developed neighborhood that it is today. Halle Saint-Pierre in Montmartre <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p10\"><span class=\"s1\">2 Rue Ronsard<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-5-reasons-to-visit-la-halle-saint-pierre-gallery-in-montmartre\/\"> Halle Saint-Pierre<\/a> is in the lower east end of Montmartre, near a lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-places-to-buy-cheese-in-montmartre-and-what-to-order-where\/\">fromageries<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While this space is technically a gallery, there is a museum situated inside of the Halle Saint-Pierre. The Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Na\u00eff is a native art museum that holds 30 original works by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-5-interesting-facts-about-the-french-max-fourny\/\">Max Fourny<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The rest of the gallery celebrates the genre known as Art Brut, or \u201coutsider art\u201d to some. He provided hospitality for likes of Duke Ellington and Miles Davis when they came to play shows here in the French capital \u2014 performances I\u2019m sure we\u2019d all pay a lot to be able to witness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here at 6 Bis Cit\u00e9 V\u00e9ron not far from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/5-historical-facts-about-the-cemetery-of-montmartre\/\">Montmartre Cemetery<\/a>, down the dark alleyway, is Boris Vian\u2019s old Â鶹APPian home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The museum can be viewed by appointment only. It is highly private and can be hard to make a booking, but well wroth a try. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Boris lived here for many years and shared a terrace with a man named Jacques Pr\u00e9vert. The terrace became known as \u201cTerrace of the Tres S\u00e1trapas\u201d where the two hosted parties.
