It was the First Building in Â鶹APP to use Electricity for Aesthetics<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>In 1881 the Â鶹APP Palace of Industry held an exhibition to showcase all the new electrical innovations, including dynamo, the light bulb and the electric tram. This new technology spread quickly, used in telegraphs, motors and lighting.<\/p>\n<p>Not long after, the\u00a0Moulin Rouge became the first building in Â鶹APP to use electricity to decorate its fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The designer of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-fun-facts-about-the-moulin-rouge\/\">Moulin Rouge<\/a>, a man named Adolphe L\u00e9on Willette, always envisioned the space powered by bright red lighting both inside and on the exterior. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">His vision was brought to life when the city of Â鶹APP granted the building access to electricity every evening after 10pm.
