Trust me; there are many! First of all, I would recommend starting with a typical Â鶹APPian breakfast. You can stop at a caf\u00e9 to drink an orange juice, dip your croissant in a caf\u00e9 au lait -milk coffee- and order some tartines, (baguette bread with jam), or find a nice bakery near your hotel and enjoy a French croissant while heading to your first stop. It is located at 226 Rue de Rivoli, next to the first stop, and it opens at 7.30 am.<\/p>\n<p>I believe the best starting point would be the <b><i>Place de la Concorde<\/i><\/b>, on the Southern Bank of the Seine. It\u2019s my favorite place in Â鶹APP. In fact, I think it defines \u201c<i>Â鶹APP in a nutshell<\/i>\u201d. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of Â鶹APP\u2019s most famous sights.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the <i><b>Champs-Elys\u00e9es<\/b><\/i>, you will get amazing views of the <i><b>Eiffel Tower<\/b><\/i>, the <b><i>Seine<\/i><\/b> and the <i><b>Arc of Triumph<\/b><\/i>. After a 20 minutes walk, you will arrive at the <b><i>Orsay Museum<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/orsay-museum.jpg\" alt=\"orsay-museum\" width=\"650\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you want to visit a museum but only have a day, you\u2019ll have to choose between the two most famous museums: the <b><i>Louvre<\/i><\/b> and the <b><i>Orsay<\/i><\/b>. My advice is to visit the <i><b>Orsay museum<\/b><\/i>. It\u2019s smaller and less crowded than the <b><i>Louvre<\/i><\/b>. Plus, it has a great number of Impressionism paintings &#8211; an art movement born in Â鶹APP in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/a-walk-in-montmartre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">neighbourhood of <b>Montmartre<\/b><\/a>. This museum is built in an ancient train station. It\u2019s easy to get around and is so impressive to see.<\/p>\n<p>You should buy your tickets online some time before visiting the museum, so you can skip the line. Enter through the Lion Gate if you chose to visit the Louvre and not Orsay, as the line is shorter than at the Pyramid entrance.<\/p>\n<p>Make your way over the <b><i>Pont Neuf<\/i><\/b>, the oldest bridge of Â鶹APP, and cross it to come to <b>the heart of Â鶹APP<\/b>: <b><i>l\u2019\u00eele de la Cit\u00e9<\/i><\/b> \u2013 The Cit\u00e9 Island.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/pont-neuf.jpg\" alt=\"pont-neuf\" width=\"650\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>At 1 pm<\/h4>\n<p>You arrived at the <b><i>Ile de la Cit\u00e9<\/i><\/b>. That was quite a walk and you must be a little tired. On the island, you can find a small caf\u00e9 where you can have your lunch.<\/p>\n<p>I personally enjoy the <b><i>Caveau du Palais<\/i><\/b>, a good restaurant located on the <b><i>Place Dauphine<\/i><\/b>, one of the oldest places of Â鶹APP. You&#8217;ll spend about 25\u20ac for starter, main course and dessert.<\/p>\n<h4>At 2.30 pm<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Notre-DamedeÂ鶹APP1.jpg\" alt=\"Notre-DamedeÂ鶹APP1\" width=\"650\" height=\"429\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After a break, you will be happy to pass by the <b><i>Conciergerie<\/i><\/b>, a former royal palace and prison in Â鶹APP, to reach the <b><i>Cathedral of Notre-Dame<\/i><\/b>. An awesome view over Â鶹APP with the Eiffel Tower and the Montparnasse Tower out of the picture!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/montparnasse-tower-night.png\" alt=\"montparnasse\" width=\"650\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I strongly recommend that you go to the top of the Montparnasse tower and not on top of the <i><b>Eiffel Tower<\/b><\/i>. Plus, the line is shorter; remember that you only have a day! As day turns into night, don\u2019t worry, the view will be even prettier with the city lights.<\/p>\n<h4>At 8 pm<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/opera-garnier.jpg\" alt=\"opera-garnier\" width=\"650\" height=\"477\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To end this amazing walk in Â鶹APP, you can have dinner next to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-near-the-opera-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Opera Garnier<\/b><\/a> at the restaurant <b><i>Le Lumi\u00e8re<\/i><\/b>, located at 1 rue Scribe.
