Because genuine advice and stories are so important to us, in addition to our born-and-raised Â鶹APPian tour stories, we now bring you <strong>real advice from fellow travelers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Bonjour Monica, can you tell us more about who you are?<\/h4>\n<p>I\u2019m Monica, I\u2019m 29 and I run a travel blog called The Travel Hack. I live in North Wales with my fianc\u00e9, our two little boys and our French Bulldog, Louie.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/the-travel-hack-at-the-eiffel-tower.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Why did you start writing <a href=\"http:\/\/thetravelhack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>thetravelhack<\/i><\/a>?<\/h4>\n<p>I started writing The Travel Hack because I wanted to be a journalist. I\u2019d been working with my local newspaper when I took a gap year (which turned into two) as I traveled around Asia and Australia. I wrote a blog for the newspaper because I thought it would be a great experience and a way to get a portfolio of writing online. I thought this might help me get a journalism job in the future\u2026little did I know this would become my job!<\/p>\n<h4>Why did you start traveling?<\/h4>\n<p>My biggest fear in life is growing old and regretting things. I don\u2019t want to suddenly find myself as an old lady and say things like, \u2018I wish I\u2019d gone here when I was young\u2019, or \u2018I wish I did this when I was young\u2019. So I\u2019ve made it my mission to see and do and experience as much as I can so I never have any regrets.<\/p>\n<h4>What&#8217;s special about your blog?<\/h4>\n<p>The Travel Hack has grown from being written just by me to being written by a whole team of contributors. There are currently 6 of us traveling around the world and sharing our experiences via the blog.<\/p>\n<h4>What would be your top 3 things to do in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Watch the sunset from Montparnasse Tower<\/li>\n<li>Relax in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-landmarks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Jardin des Tuileries<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<li>The Louvre &#8211; even if it\u2019s just to admire it from the outside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Your Top 3 favourite places in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/the-travel-hack-eating-macaroons.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-landmarks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>The Louvre<\/b><\/a> &#8211; even if it\u2019s just to admire it from the outside<\/li>\n<li>Ladur\u00e9e &#8211; it might be touristy but it\u2019s just so lovely inside and the macarons are delicious!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-landmarks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Le Meurice<\/b><\/a> &#8211; This hotel is absolutely stunning and even a suite is out of your budget it\u2019s worth visiting the hotel bar for a cocktail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Your favorite landmark in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p>The Eiffel Tower, of course! It\u2019s best at sunset when the lights come on and it\u2019s twinkling against the city skyline.<\/p>\n<h4>What is your favorite neighborhood in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p>I\u2019m not sure I know Â鶹APP well enough to answer this as I haven\u2019t explored all of the neighborhoods as much as they deserve! I love the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/left-bank\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Latin Quarter<\/b><\/a>\u2019s narrow streets and the little surprises around every corner.<\/p>\n<h4>Could you give us your recommendation to first timers in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p>Pack comfy shoes and make a rough list of things you\u2019d like to see but give yourself plenty of time to be distracted and stumble upon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/hidden-gems-and-secret-paris-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>hidden gems<\/b><\/a>. There\u2019s so much to see in Â鶹APP and a lot of the best things are the ones you won\u2019t have planned for.
