Because genuine advice and stories are so important to us, in addition to our born-and-raised Â鶹APPian tour stories, we now bring you <strong>real advice from fellow travelers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Bonjour Kristen, can you tell us more about who you are?<\/h4>\n<p>My name is Kristen Sarah and I&#8217;m a full-time adventurer! Originally from Brampton, Ontario but have spent the last 13 years &#8220;hopscotching the globe.&#8221; My husband Siya and I travel the world, immersing ourselves in different cultures and search for the most incredible adventures all while documenting it on our blog and YouTube channel. Not only do we share our adventures with our worldwide audience, we teach them how to travel too, no matter their lifestyle or budget.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/kristen-sarah.jpg\" alt=\"Eiffel Tower Sunset\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Why did you start writing <a href=\"http:\/\/hopscotchtheglobe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>hopscotchtheglobe.com\/<\/strong><\/a>?<\/h4>\n<p>First and foremost, I am a traveler. I&#8217;ve also always been a story teller. I decided that the best way for my family and friends to follow my global adventures was to document it while I was on the road. I started HopscotchTheGlobe.com in 2010 and it&#8217;s been the biggest adventure since then. Now our group of friends has turned into 100&#8217;s of thousands of people from all over the world. The Hopscotch the Globe tribe continues to grow daily and is made up of some incredibly curious, open minded, and loving people.<\/p>\n<h4>Why did you start traveling?<\/h4>\n<p>My first real travel experience was when I spent a high school semester living and volunteering in Paraguay, South America. I love how new and exciting everything was. I loved feeling uncomfortable and completely out of my element. It was such a thrill, I knew I was hooked from day one of that experience. I have a travel addiction, and it&#8217;s the best kind there is.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/3.jpg\" alt=\"Eiffel Tower Sunset\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>What&#8217;s special about your blog?<\/h4>\n<p>When it comes to content, we specialize in video. There aren&#8217;t many travel vloggers out there that are dedicated to video. Siya and I also have a specific personality and sense of humour that we portray in our videos. We are very authentic and share the experience in real time. We don&#8217;t sugar coat it, we say things as they are and we have developed a really great relationship with our audience. We have always looked at Hopscotch as being a community, not just a resource. We view our audience as our travel family, not as fans or subscribers.<\/p>\n<h4>What would be your top 3 things to do in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>You must go to Â鶹APP and eat! There are so especially incredible sweet shops.<\/li>\n<li>A visit to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and riding around the city in a vintage car is a must.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Eiffel Tower Sunset\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Your favorite landmark in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p>I don&#8217;t really have one. I just like wandering around the streets and finding all of the hidden gems. Every place is unique and offers something.<\/p>\n<h4>What is your favorite neighborhood in Â鶹APP?<\/h4>\n<p>Montmartre is great. Very artsy! As cliche as it sounds, it&#8217;s pretty beautiful and worth the visit, especially at night. If you do go in the day, buy a skip the line pass so you can actually skip the massive line and head straight up the tower. It&#8217;s only a couple of dollars extra. Also, I&#8217;d recommend a night cruise.
