Whether you are coming to Â鶹APP for your honeymoon or for a romantic getaway, or even if you find yourself a French \u201c<i>petit(e) ami(e)<\/i>\u201d (<i>girlfriend, boyfriend<\/i>) while travelling, there are countless romantic things to do in Â鶹APP, the city of love. To be fair, even the simple fact of walking around is a <b>romantic thing to do in Â鶹APP<\/b>. But some places are just unmissable.<\/p>\n<h4>Walking In Â鶹APP<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/romantic-things-to-do-in-paris-1.jpg\" alt=\"romantic things to do in Â鶹APP\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For starters, bridges are the <b>perfect places to declare your love<\/b>, or just to stroll around hands in hands with your \u201c<i>amoureux<\/i>\u201d (<i>lover<\/i>). The most beautiful ones have been the location of famous movies and TV shows: pretend to be in a Woody Allen film and <b>kiss your loved one<\/b> on the river banks, under the Pont Marie.<\/p>\n<p>The Pont des Arts is famous thanks to the TV show Sex and the City but also thanks to the padlocks. One traditional romantic thing to do was to get a padlock and to hook it on the bridge with your lover. People then would throw the key in the Seine for your love to last forever. That was definitely a romantic thing to do while in Â鶹APP. The main difficulty was to find a spot for your padlock! But this tradition is now over because Â鶹APP City Hall came to the conclusion that it was starting to have a great downward impact on the environment and was weighing too much on the bridge and that it could cause safety problems. <\/p>\n<p>If you enjoy walking as much as Â鶹APPians do, why not also see different parts of Â鶹APP, less well-known neighbourhoods? Walking along the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-landmarks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Champs-Elys\u00e9es<\/b><\/a> is great, of course, but getting lost in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/montmartre-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Montmartre<\/b><\/a> is one of the most <b>romantic things to do in Â鶹APP<\/b>. Unfortunately, it is a district often forgotten by the uninitiated. If you follow my advice and go there, don\u2019t follow the crowd: look for the very Â鶹APPian caf\u00e9 Les Deux Moulins, where the famous French movie Am\u00e9lie was shot. If you\u2019ve seen the film, you know that Am\u00e9lie\u2019s story is amazingly romantic. You\u2019ll be reminded of it by the posters of Am\u00e9lie that are hanging around in this very typical caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n<p>Then, if you want to see the most impressive view of Â鶹APP, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/montmartre-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>head up to the Sacr\u00e9-Coeur Basilica<\/b><\/a>. My recommendation? Do it by night, it will be much less crowded, thus more romantic. I really can\u2019t imagine a more romantic thing to do than sitting on the stairs of the Sacred Heart, admiring the city lights and eating Ladur\u00e9e macarons with your lover.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/romantic-things-to-do-in-paris-2.jpg\" alt=\"romantic things to do in Â鶹APP\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally, if you are looking for another <b>romantic things to do<\/b>, remember to take a picture in front of The Wall of I love you\u2019s (<i>le mur des \u201cJe t\u2019aime\u201d<\/i>) located near the metro station Abbesses, in the Square Jehan-Rictus. The words \u201c<i>I love you<\/i>\u201d are written on the wall in more than 250 languages.<\/p>\n<h4>Eating In Â鶹APP<\/h4>\n<p>Another thing that makes Â鶹APP so romantic is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-food-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>French food<\/b><\/a>. Going to the Jules Verne, the restaurant located in the Eiffel tower is a great idea. But if you forgot to book a table, I\u2019d say that having dinner on a cruise is something almost as romantic. It may be a touristic thing to do, but if Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant did it in <i>Charade<\/i>, it is no coincidence. The Seine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-night-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>by night<\/b><\/a> is one of the most romantic sights you\u2019ll ever see.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/romantic-things-to-do-in-paris-3.jpg\" alt=\"romantic things to do in Â鶹APP\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t do it at night, at least go for a daytime cruise on Vedettes du Pont-Neuf boats, on La Seine River. It is a great way to see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-landmarks\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Â鶹APPian monuments<\/b><\/a>. If you think that people-watching is a more romantic thing to do, you should try out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/left-bank\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Latin Quarter<\/b><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/the-river-and-saint-germain-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s<\/b><\/a>. Follow the steps of Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir and look at the crowd in front of the Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s church while having coffee at the amazing Caf\u00e9 de Flore.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s talk about wine now; a great idea to have a romantic moment while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/paris-food-wine-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>wine-tasting<\/b><\/a> would be to head to the 12th district to the Baron Rouge &#8211; some of you might recognize it from Gossip Girl, this is the place where Chuck briefly works as a waiter. If it is too cold for ice-creams, go to Angelina\u2019s (<i>rue de Rivoli<\/i>) for the best hot chocolate in town.<\/p>\n<p>These are recommendations for those of you who wish to live <b>romantic moments with the one you love<\/b>.
