No doubt: this is the month when good things start again and you&#8217;ll have plenty of things to do in Barcelona in March! Read on and find out my list of <strong>things to do in Barcelona in March<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h4>Cal\u00e7otada: Let&#8217;s get dirty beyond tapas<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/barca-eating.jpg\" alt=\"barca-eating\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Among all the <strong>things to do in Barcelona in March<\/strong> there is, obviously, eating. But, let me tell you that we don&#8217;t base our diet in tapas. We have other typical dishes such as <i>cal\u00e7ots<\/i>. March is the last month of the season and your last chance for enjoying <i>cal\u00e7otades<\/i>, the meal based in this long and mild onions. <\/p>\n<p>We cook them directly on the fire and dip them in special sauces: <i>xatonada<\/i>, <i>romesco<\/i>, <i>cal\u00e7ots<\/i> sauce or <i>salvitxada<\/i> (all of them are really difficult to cook!). It&#8217;s easy to get stained and that&#8217;s why the traditional cal\u00e7ot-eating uniform is a bib. Normally the meal continues with a barbecue and it&#8217;s held in the field or in open spaces as social tradition. You can give yourself a <i>cal\u00e7otada<\/i> in some restaurants for a figure between twenty or thirty euros per person.<\/p>\n<h4>Support Bar\u00e7a the way we do<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/support-barca.jpg\" alt=\"support-barca\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sport fan? Then, of all the <strong>things to do in Barcelona in March<\/strong> you must choose watching the Bar\u00e7a game against Madrid, which we call <i>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/i>. And you shall enjoy the <i>Cl\u00e1sico<\/i> (that&#8217;s how we call a Bar\u00e7a-Madrid game)&#8230; in a bar! Any bar, actually!<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find very good ambient for much less money. Just be sure to book and be there on time. Perhaps you hardly see the screen, but you will experience soccer as we do: yelling to a screen! <i>El Cl\u00e1sico<\/i> takes place on Saturday the 2nd. <\/p>\n<h4>Go to Barcelona&#8217;s newest museum<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/barca-museum.jpg\" alt=\"barca-museum\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If we look at what museums offer, you&#8217;ve got even more <strong>things to do in Barcelona in March<\/strong>. Now you can visit the <strong><i>Museu de les Cultures del M\u00f3n<\/i><\/strong> (The World Culture Museum). Here, instead of finding local art as in <strong><i>MNAC<\/i><\/strong>, you&#8217;ll see almost 530 art pieces from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania framed in two exceptional buildings in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/barcelona-walking-tours\/old-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">El Born<\/a> neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p>A great therapy if all the artistic styles you can recall are European (that&#8217;s my case). Their address is <i>Montcada, 12<\/i> and you can reach it from metro stop <i>Jaume I<\/i>.<\/p>\n<h4>Experience the city of design<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/design-museum.jpg\" alt=\"design-museum\" width=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Powerful studios and historical names of design have a close relationship with the city. That&#8217;s why one of the best <strong>things to do in Barcelona in March<\/strong> is visiting our brand new <strong><i>Design Museum<\/i><\/strong>, where you can find literally anything: from dresses to wc&#8217;s. The point is that they are hosting a temporary exhibition about design with a social purpose. It is called &#8220;<i>La nostra senzilla relaci\u00f3 amb la tecnologia<\/i>&#8221; and looks very promising because it studies our relationship with technology. And since technology is part of our daily life now more than ever! I think it is very interesting to analyze the aspects of this relationship! Plus, the entrance is free!
