From Parliament Hill to Kenwood House, there are plenty of places to visit in the Heath and can be enjoyed in any season of the year.<\/p>\n<h3>How To Get There<\/h3>\n<p>You can take the <strong>241 Bus<\/strong> every day.<\/p>\n<p>Departing from <strong>Kings Cross and St Pancras station, Stop T.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take direction <strong>Highgate Village<\/strong> and get off at <strong>Merton Lane.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The duration of the journey is about <strong>40 minutes<\/strong>, and is direct.<\/p>\n<p>From Merton Lane, <strong>walk 300 metres<\/strong> and you have arrived! On a clear day you are able to see all the way to St Paul\u2019s, The Shard, The Gherkin and other notable landmarks.<\/p>\n<p>It is a popular spot for both tourists and natives alike, especially in the summer months for picnics where it stays light in the evenings until late. Coming down the Hill, there are many ponds which are popular swimming spots, especially in the summer seasons. Inside there is an impressive world class art collection which includes Rembrandt&#8217;s portrait and is free for all to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>The library is also worth visiting as it is one of the most incredible examples of Neoclassical English architecture, filled with antique books and intricate ceiling paintings.<\/p>\n<p>On the grounds of Kenwood, you will come across a large pond, where at first glance you see what looks like an ordinary footbridge. If you look carefully you will see that this is in fact a fake bridge that is purely ornamental and two dimensional in structure. With almost no one else around it feels enchanted.<\/p>\n<p>The Pergola\u2019s extravagant terrace with many winding footpaths offers lovely views of the gardens and a great place to explore and wander. It is particularly beautiful in spring time when the trellises are covered in wisteria. It is hard to believe we are only a few miles from central London. Although it is a little awkward to find, it is well worth visiting.<\/p>\n<h6>The Pergola, Inverforth Cl, Hampstead, London NW3 7EX<\/h6>\n<h6>Throughout the year the Pergola opens at 8:30. The park contains many beautiful plant displays in a beautifully tended flower garden as well as a water garden and a larger pond.
