Vy\u0161ehrad<\/i> is the other castle of Prague. You can see its black towers from many places around the city. Although it is not as famous as Prague Castle<\/i>, which ends up being an advantage since it is not as close from the city centre.<\/p>\n

This castle is bounded by walls. Inside these walls, you will find lots of green areas, parks and gardens that will be perfect for a summer walk! If you’re lucky, you might even visit the castle on the day the saxophone quintet plays for the visitors.<\/p>\n

Plus, since it is a considerably open and high place, it is very windy. So, it is the perfect place to visit during the month of July on warm days! Not that you shouldn’t visit it during cooler seasons, but summer is indeed the perfect time to visit it, because the wind comes from all directions!<\/p>\n

While in Vy\u0161ehrad<\/i>, don’t forget to visit the cemetery. Even if you don’t particularly enjoy visiting this kind of place, it is definitely worth it! Many Czech artists are buried there, like Alfons Mucha and Jan Neruda.<\/p>\n

The history of this street is very interesting. It was built during the sixteenth century as a Fire Corridor when the city had to face a fire that damaged more than sixty houses! This kind of corridors were built to serve as a direct access to the Vltava river, therefore to the water!<\/p>\n
