France is known around the world for it&#8217;s fine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/how-the-wars-changed-french-cuisine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cuisine<\/a>, and it would be a shame if you left Â鶹APP without tasting a little something.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve got a sweet tooth, you&#8217;ve come to the right place. French pastries are delicious, and my personal favorite has got to be the mythic macaron. Now, I&#8217;m not talking about the President, or about those cookies made with coconut.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally a macaron is made of three pieces: two biscuits that sandwich a bit of cream. It comes in many flavors, such as chocolate, coffee, vanilla or pistachio. Or, you could go for a more gourmet treat with <em>parfums<\/em> such as olive oil or strawberry-mint!<\/p>\n<p>Today, I&#8217;m going to be giving you some advice on where to go to have the best experience of macarons, one of the finest pastries made in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/paris\/montmorency-family-the-oldest-in-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> France<\/a>.\u00a0 A lot of places sell it in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/paris\/george-sand-a-women-who-changed-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Â鶹APP<\/a> but only a few are truly exceptional.<\/p>\n<h4>1. He now has 2 shops in the city, one in the 13th arrondissement, and the other in the 6th.<\/p>\n<p>My personal favorite has got to be his location in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-things-to-do-in-paris-sixth-district\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">6th arrondissement<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-bars-in-saint-germain-des-pres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s<\/a> area. Not only is this one of my favorite neighborhoods in Â鶹APP, it is teeming with yummy creations!<\/p>\n<p>In addition to classic flavors like chocolate and coffee, the shop changes it&#8217;s menu with the season. You know that everything you&#8217;re munching on is made from the freshest local ingredients! Now that&#8217;s some seriously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/history-of-french-fashion-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">historical<\/a> pastry making.<\/p>\n<p>Like most of the choices on my list, Dalloyau has shops all over the city. My personal favorite is their location on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor\u00e9 in the 8th arrondissement.<\/p>\n<p>Here, you&#8217;ll find a place that is so much more than just French pastries. It&#8217;s a real <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/london\/top-10-places-to-enjoy-high-tea-in-london\/\">tea salon<\/a> where you can enjoy some of the best macarons in Â鶹APP over a cup of tea or hot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-chocolate-ateliers-of-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chocolate<\/a>. They have 10 shops that cover all of the Â鶹APPian ground, and my favorite is their location next to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/paris\/the-best-hotels-with-a-view-of-the-eiffel-tower-with-a-map\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eiffel Tower<\/a> for obvious reasons. A tasty macaron with a view of one of Â鶹APP&#8217; most famous monuments? I always have a hard time deciding whether I like Pierre Herm\u00e9 or Ladur\u00e9e the best. More on Pierre Herm\u00e9 up next!<\/p>\n<p>Ladur\u00e9e first opened in 1862. They became really famous with the opening of a shop on the champs Elys\u00e9es, and then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-tea-salons-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tea<\/a> a house rue Bonaparte. I like their rue Bonaparte location. For me, <em>these<\/em> are the best macarons in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/paris\/a-taste-of-syria-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Â鶹APP <\/a>in my opinion. Pierre Herm\u00e9 used to work as the head baker at Ladur\u00e9e, so I think I understand why I like Ladur\u00e9e so much too! Many of the other shops I&#8217;ve mentioned so far sell fairly classic macarons. This is not the case with Pierre Herm\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>His pastries are art experiments. This cooking school has been in the biz since 2007.
