Are you coming to my beloved town to spend your summer holidays? Then you’ll be amazed by all these things to do in Barcelona in July<\/strong>! I think Barcelona is the best city to be at during the summer, since there are so many things to do and events happening! If you want to experience the best of Barcelona, read on and find out some of the best things to do in Barcelona in July<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Go to a festival<\/h4>\n

\"Criulla\"<\/p>\n

During the last weekend of May, the Primavera Sound Festival is happening. In July, I also have another festival I suggest you to go to! One of the best things to do in Barcelona in July<\/strong> is to go to the Cru\u00eflla Festival<\/i><\/a>. Cru\u00eflla<\/i> in Catalan means “crossroad<\/i>” and it’s a pretty good name for a festival where party and conscience meat each one another. <\/p>\n

As the Primavera Sound<\/i>, it takes place in Parc del F\u00f2rum<\/i><\/strong>. This year’s edition, we can count with the presence of bands and artists, like Black Eyes Peas, Kylie Minogue, Bastille, Foals, Years & Years, Seu Jorge. If you are interested in some of these artists, be sure to be in Barcelona between the 3rd and the 6th of July!<\/p>\n

Lose yourself in a maze<\/h4>\n

Hot days by the Mediterranean can be tough. So, one of the things to do in Barcelona in July<\/a> is discovering parks and green areas throughout the city. <\/p>\n

I normally go to Jardins de l’Universitat<\/i><\/strong>, in the historical building of Universitat de Barcelona<\/i><\/strong>, but, my favourite park in town is, without any doubt, the Laberint d’Horta<\/i><\/strong>, the Horta’s Maze<\/i>. The walls of the maze are a little bit shady and you’ll get a little rest from the rising temperatures and the Labyrinth is just a little piece of a park with views. You will find it next close to Mundet<\/i> metro station.<\/p>\n

Eat (lots of) ice cream<\/h4>\n

In Catalonia and Spain, all year ice creams are not very common, so the great season to enjoy them is… during the summer. Eating ice cream is, of course, one of the best things to do in Barcelona in July<\/strong>. We are not Italy, but thanks to a few Italians in town, we can say we master the amazing art of making something both delicious and refreshing!<\/p>\n

But if you ask me, you have two places that will surprise you. If you are in Pla\u00e7a de la Revoluci\u00f3<\/i><\/strong>, in Gr\u00e0cia you’ll see two ice cream places. Just choose the plain one, Gelateria Italiana<\/i>, and order one of the fruity flavours. It is the wisest choice ever! If you are close to the city center, in the left side of the Eixample, there is a tiny place where you can also eat delicious bakery. We are talking about Delacrem<\/i> located at Enric Granados, 15<\/i>. It is so amazing!<\/p>\n

Dance like there was no tomorrow at… S\u00d3NAR!<\/h4>\n

The S\u00f3nar Festival takes place from the 18 to the 19th of July and this avant-garde music festival is definitely one of the best things to do in Barcelona in July<\/strong> if you happen to like electronic music! <\/p>\n

A$AP Rocky, Acid Arab, Aleesha, Alvva, Amelie Lens, Arca, Bad Bunny, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Disclosure, Kaytranada, Lil Uzi Vert are included in a program suitable for all the tastes, with daytime sessions in the city center and nigh-time sessions in L’Hospitalet. As usual with this kind of festivals, best deals are available if you purchase your entrance in advance. Are you amused by all the things to do in Barcelona in June? Attend amazing performances<\/h4>\n

Catalonia is crowded with summer festivals that transform the mild nights in the best opportunities for stargazing. So, this venues are great things to do in Barcelona in July and during all the summer. For example, I’m a big fan of the Grec Festival<\/a>, taking place every July in Teatre Grec de Montju\u00efc<\/i>, which is an open air theatre that was inaugurated during the 1929 Universal Exhibition.<\/p>\n

If you happen to like music and majestic gardens, then the Jardins de Pedralbes Festival<\/a> is perfect for you. But this year, the Cap Roig Festival<\/a>, in Calella de Palafrugell, close to Girona and next to the coast is bringing amazing artists practically during the whole month of July. For instance, on the 19th of July, Sting is performing. On other days, you also have other popular ones, such as Maluma and Luis Fonsi! <\/p>\n

See? There are lots of things to do in Barcelona<\/a> in July<\/strong>. The title of \u00abcity that never sleeps\u00bb is taken… But we are very likely to win the one for the \u00abcity that never goes on vacation\u00bb!<\/p>\n

Get lost in the Barrio G\u00f3tico<\/h4>\n

One of the most interesting neighborhoods of Barcelona in which I recommend you to simply get lost in is the Barrio G\u00f3tico<\/a>! <\/p>\n

This area has so many treasures, hidden gems you simply cannot afford to miss, such as the Catedral, the Career del Bisbe, the Plaza Real, the Call – which is the old Jewish neighborhood -, the Plaza del Rey and the Plaza de San Felip Neri where you can still see marks from the Civil War. <\/p>\n

Go to the beach<\/h4>\n

The weather in Barcelona is so amazing, especially during the summer! So if you’re in the city during this season, you absolutely have to go to some of the beaches! But as you may know, the city’s beaches are artificial, but it doesn’t matter, since the Playa de Barceloneta is one of the most lively places you will find in the city! <\/p>\n

But if you want a more intimate beach, the best you can do is to go to the Northern beaches, such as the Playa de Nova Icaria, the Playa del Bogatell. And if you’re looking for a nudist beach, go to the Playa de Nova Mar Bella. <\/p>\n
