Chamn\u00e9\u00a0is the inverse for <em>m\u00e9chant<\/em>, which translates as &#8220;mean&#8221;. It&#8217;s kind of similar to using the word &#8220;sick&#8221; in describing something really cool in English. \u00a0\u00ab <em>Ce film, il est trop chanm\u00e9!<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb &#8220;This movie is really good!&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>V\u00e9ner<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>V\u00e9n\u00e8r\u00a0is the verlan for <em>\u00e9nerv\u00e9<\/em><em><b>, <\/b><\/em>meaning to be angry or annoyed. \u00ab<em>Je suis rest\u00e9e bloqu\u00e9e dans le metro pendant une heure ce matin, \u00e7a m&#8217;a trop v\u00e9ner.\u00bb &#8220;I was stuck in the metro for an hour this morning, it really pissed me off&#8221;. <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">d d d d d d d d d d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Chelou<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This one comes\u00a0from the word <em>louche<\/em> which means sketchy or shady. This one is easy too, because\u00a0<em>Chelou<\/em> means exactly the same thing! It is used very often, especially by millennials. <em>\u00ab T\u2019es chelou toi, t\u2019as d\u00e9j\u00e0 une meuf, non ? \u00bb &#8220;You&#8217;re shady, don&#8217;t you already have a girlfriend?&#8221; <\/em>This is one you can use especially at the bars.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Relou<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This one originates from <em>lourd<\/em> (heavy) and actually means &#8220;annoying&#8221;.
