These are the main <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/thingstodo\/paris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>things to do in Â鶹APP<\/b><\/a> around Bastille Square.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/bastille_paris.jpg\" alt=\"Things to do in Â鶹APP around Bastille Square\" width=\"650\" height=\"362\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><b>Opera<\/b> house<\/h4>\n<p>The Bastille <b>Opera<\/b> house was built in 1989 in order to have two main buildings in Â鶹APP: the Garnier Opera house for ballets and the Bastille Opera house for <b>opera<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, the latter is much less beautiful than the former, but anyway, watching a show inside is a great experience. The quarter is also known for all its<b>bars<\/b> (and gay <b>bars<\/b> as well) and its Jewish restaurants (just try the falafel one of the best things to do in Â鶹APP around Bastille Square!).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/m_qua.jpg\" alt=\"Marais quarter\" width=\"650\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Vosges square and Sully Hotel<\/h2>\n<p>Vosges square is the oldest in Â鶹APP. I really love the architecture which is quite exceptional: the only other square with the same red bricks and white stones is Dauphine Square.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s really cool to have a rest or a <b>picnic<\/b> in that place, after an exhausting<b>shopping<\/b> afternoon or your visit of Victor Hugo&#8217;s house. Sully Hotel is moreover a magnificent baroque and classical building, but unfortunately, you cannot visit it. Just have a walk in the French garden. You will enjoy it!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/PlaceDesVosges.jpg\" alt=\"PlaceDesVosges\" width=\"650\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>P\u00e8re Lachaise Cemetery<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/pere-lachaise.jpg\" alt=\"pere-lachaise\" width=\"650\" height=\"374\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is the biggest intramurals cemetery in Â鶹APP and one of the most famous in the world. Indeed, the architecture and the atmosphere are unique and lots of French celebrities as well as foreign stars are buried here, including, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison (where lots of young people used to meet to pay tribute to him&#8230; while drinking and <b>smoking<\/b>!) and Oscar Wilde.<\/p>\n<p>I would really recommend that you do a guided tour because otherwise you will get lost and you will not understand all the secrets of the place.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/cem_img.jpg\" alt=\"Cemetery\" width=\"650\" height=\"215\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Arabic institute<\/h2>\n<p>The Arabic institute is part of the cultural Â鶹APPian life. There, you will discover all sides of the Arabic culture, thanks to a library, media, a cinema showroom and a conferences room.<\/p>\n<p>You can finish your visit by drinking a tea at the top of the building: there is a huge terrace where you will have a magnificent panorama of Â鶹APP!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/arab_inst.jpg\" alt=\"Arabic institute\" width=\"650\" height=\"211\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Canal Saint Martin<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/canal_sm.jpg\" alt=\"Canal Saint Martin\" width=\"650\" height=\"222\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just next to the Bastille, there&#8217;s a little marina which makes you feel as if you were in the South of France&#8230; Just have a look at the lovely boats and sit along the banks to enjoy a <b>picnic<\/b> or a drink.<\/p>\n<p>There are also green spaces and games for <b>children<\/b> as well.
