Here\u2019s a few options worth exploring in Lisbon. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Wine Tasting at The Lisbon Winery in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bairro Alto is a traditional yet notably bohemian part of Lisbon; it is my favorite area through which to venture on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s2\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a><\/span><span class=\"s3\">s. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">The Lisbon Winery is situated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/what-to-do-in-lisbon-around-bairro-alto\/\">Bairro Alto<\/a> which poses the perfect location for this 16th century cellar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">Portugal is often overshadowed by the French and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/an-italians-guide-to-italian-wine\/\">Italians<\/a> when it comes to wine. The reality being that Portugal has an extensive history within the wine industry and are producers of some of the finest wines in the world. The fado performances start at 8pm every night and run through until 2am with 20 minute intervals in between for refreshment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The cellar can get packed, as this is considered one of the top venues in which to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-venues-with-live-fado-in-lisbon\/\">see fado in Lisbon<\/a>. As you may have guessed from the name, the restaurant specializes in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/all-about-bacalhau-a-portuguese-dish\/\">Portuguese dish called bacalhau<\/a>, which is basically salted and dried cod. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p12\"><span class=\"s1\">I recommend Restaurante Laurentina o Rei do Bacalhau for anyone who is dining either alone on their birthday (sorry) or with an intimate partner.
