Here\u2019s where to go for your <i>poulet<\/i> fix.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">1. Chez l&#8217;Ami Louis in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">32 Rue du Vertbois<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When you want a dish done right, leave it to the people who have been in the business for almost one hundred years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Chez l\u2019Ami Louis is situated in Â鶹APP\u2019 3rd arrondissement, almost in the far north of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-bakeries-in-le-marais-and-what-to-order\/\">le Marais<\/a>. As your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s3\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a><\/span> <span class=\"s1\">takes you past the Metiers Art Museum, you\u2019ll pass Chez l\u2019Ami one block east. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dining here is said to be a right of passage for newcomers to Â鶹APP. The restaurant was founded back in 1924 and has remained true to this location and neighborhood ever since. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There has always been controversy around this place. Some know it as the most famous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-24-hour-bistros-of-paris\/\">bistro<\/a> in the world, others as the world\u2019s worst bistro. The chicken is where the chef\u2019s speciality lies. People travel from all over just to try the famous rotisserie chicken dish accompanied by the scalloped potatoes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s a crowd pleaser of note and almost totally makes up for the underwhelming service in the bistro. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Take note: this is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/our-recommended-5-star-hotels-in-paris\/\">five star<\/a> dining. Prepare to pay well beyond a regular dining experience for your meal. The famous chicken dish I mentioned will set you back about \u20ac170 without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-fun-facts-about-french-wine\/\">wine<\/a> or dessert. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Average cost:<\/b> \u20ac300<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\">2. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Gumbo Yaya in<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> Â鶹APP <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">3 Rue Charles Robin<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a stark pricing contrast to the afore mentioned chicken spot, our next spot takes us into the north of Â鶹APP\u2019 19th arrondissement, just west of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/a-complete-guide-to-the-buttes-chaumont-park-in-paris\/\">Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I love this little <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/finding-american-places-in-paris\/\">USA southern eatery<\/a> that labels itself proudly as \u201csoul food\u201d. It\u2019s a strange concept to most Europeans, the thought of combining a breakfast food with a fried dinner meat. But somehow it just works. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gumbo Yaya\u2019s menu consists of a variety of dishes that utilize either chicken, waffles, syrup or fries \u2014 or all four at once!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-best-brunches-in-paris\/\">brunch<\/a> plates that feature chicken with sides of waffles, avocado, beans and toppings.
