Here are ten of the things my friends and I enjoy most whenever someones birthday rolls around; some free, some inexpensive and some you\u2019ll have to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/paris-on-a-budget\/\">budget<\/a> for (but that\u2019s okay). <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">1. Attend a Cabaret Show in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I feel like people don\u2019t take advantage of this experience often enough especially if they\u2019ve been in Â鶹APP a long time. The spectacle that is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-cabaret-shows-paris\/\">cabaret<\/a> is something we are fortunate to be able to witness in the very city in which it originated. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-reasons-to-visit-the-moulin-rouge\/\">Moulin Rouge<\/a> in the 18th arrondissement is a consistent option, it is sometimes saturated with tourism . The Crazy Horse on the Right Bank across from the Eiffel Tower is a far more local hangout and a truly impressive showcase to be part of. Spend a Night at the Theatre in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If erotic cabarets aren\u2019t so much your live performance of preference, then a night out at the regular<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/an-insiders-guide-to-theatres-in-paris\/\"> Â鶹APPian theatre<\/a> may be better suited for a birthday outing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Mogador is the most beautiful theatre in the 9th arrondissement, with the Folies Berg\u00e8re a close second also in the same district. Have a Drink at Le Carmen in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">34 Rue Duperr\u00e9<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Le Carmen is situated deep inside an old mansion in the south of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-bars-in-pigalle\/\">Pigalle<\/a>. I don\u2019t have the right words to properly convey just how transportive this space is, nor words for the incredible ambiance that the bar has created. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Like something out of a 1930s mob scene, this dimly lit piano lounge is possibly the coolest venue in all of Â鶹APP. Think fine liquor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-places-with-jazz-in-paris\/\">jazz<\/a> and blues, good conversation and attention to detail. Begin at the bottom of Montmartre hill and make a point of stopping in all of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-bakeries-in-montmartre-and-what-to-order-where\/\">bakeries<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/top-10-places-to-buy-cheese-in-montmartre-and-what-to-order-where\/\">fromageries<\/a> and c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-chocolate-ateliers-of-paris\/\">hocolate ateliers<\/a> that catch your eye as you make your way up to the top. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Purchase something different from each one; a baguette from the first, a wheel of cheese from the next, some cranberries if you see any, a bottle of wine near the top, chocolates for dessert. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Once you\u2019ve gathered all your goodies you should be near the summit where you can settle and indulge. Top spots for this spontaneous picnic would be: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-things-to-do-at-the-place-du-tertre\/\">Place du Tertre<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-interesting-facts-about-the-i-love-you-wall-in-montmartre\/\">I Love You Wall<\/a> or the grass below the Sacre Coeur. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">5. Venture Back to the 1920s in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nothing like a birthday to make you incredibly nostalgic; what better way to ride it out than to venture back to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-places-to-experience-the-1920s-in-paris\/\">1920s in Â鶹APP<\/a>?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-places-to-experience-the-1920s-in-paris\/\">Hemingway Bar<\/a> is housed inside of the Ritz Hotel over in the 1st arrondissement. This is my personal favorite 1920s escape room on account of there are no windows so you can lose track of time completely. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Little Red Door in le Marais is a close second. It is a 1920s speakeasy style bar with exposed brick and dim lighting. If you arrive too late you\u2019ll face an immense queue waiting to get in. Watch the Sunrise and Sunset Over Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Making a point of doing both of these in one day is the best way to get the most out of your birthday time frame. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For sunrise I always recommend heading to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/free-thing-to-do-in-paris-in-your-20s\/\">Trocad\u00e9ro Gardens<\/a> where you can see the light change behind the Eiffel Tower. It really captures the essence of Â鶹APP, you know?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As for a sunset spot, you\u2019re best finding a rooftop terrace or viewing deck from which to perch on. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-rooftops-paris-ultimate-guide\/\">rooftop<\/a> at Galeries Lafayette is free to the public and is one of the best panoramic views of the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">8. Shoot a Polaroid Camera Around Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For your birthday in Â鶹APP, spoil yourself by purchasing a polaroid camera and full pack of film from any of the tech stores in the shopping districts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Joining a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s3\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a> on the day will take you through major districts and landmarks around the city. As the day unfolds, have random people take sporadic polaroids of you in front of different sites around the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You can even navigate the streets yourself and stop strangers along the way when you feel a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/photo-spots-in-paris\/\">photo opportunity<\/a> has presented itself.
