While many locals benefit from all of the spaces listed below, you\u2019d be surprised to learn that equally as many visitors to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-pizza-in-paris\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a> make use of them swell; it\u2019s exhausting being a tourist! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The irony in sharing quiet spots is that they run risk of no longer being, well, quiet. Here we go anyway \u2014 if we see each other, let\u2019s agree not to talk shall we?<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">1. Parc Monceau in Â鶹APP <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">35 Boulevard de Courcelles<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When tourists have a limited amount of time to explore the city of Â鶹APP, the tendency is to flock to the major sites with well known names first. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It ensure that the tales of their travels will be recognizable to the general public when they return home and they will have ticked off bucket list items as opposed to unknown attractions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thanks to this mentality, the Parc Monceau remains a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-parks-of-boulogne-and-vincennes-which-to-visit\/\">garden<\/a> that could easily compete with sites like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/luxembourg-vs-tuileries-which-garden-to-choose\/\">Tuileries and Jardin du Luxembourg<\/a> in terms of beauty, but is almost always void of masses of human life; making the Parc Monceau one of the quietest spots in all of Â鶹APP.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_17759\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17759\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17759\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/800px-parc_monceau_20060812_29.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/800px-parc_monceau_20060812_29.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/800px-parc_monceau_20060812_29-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/800px-parc_monceau_20060812_29-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-17759\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Parc Monceau &#8211; by Guillaume Jacquet &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Parc_Monceau_20060812_29.jpg\">Wikimedia Commons<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The park is one of the oldest in the city, created back in 1789. The influence of traditional English landscaping is evident from the park entrance through the grounds itself. Scattered through the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-reasons-to-visit-le-jardin-des-plantes-in-paris\/\"> thick greenery<\/a> are curved pathways and impressive statues. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Parc Monceau is exquisite. Take note of all the lily ponds and column ruins as you make your way through. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It helps that this park is situated quite far north of the city center, meaning one has to make an effort to get here. Visit during the week and you\u2019ll likely enjoy hundreds of square meters to yourself. It is open from 7am to 9pm daily. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">2<\/span><span class=\"s4\">. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Cour d\u2019Honneur in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">8 Rue de Montpensier<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I usually would have not even bothered looking for a quiet escape spot in the 1st arrondissement as the whole idea of this seems a bit redundant. The 1st is undoubtably the most bustling and chaotic part of Â鶹APP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Rather than me finding it, the Cour d\u2019Honneur somewhat found me. Just across from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/history-of-the-louvre-palace-before-the-art\/\">Louvre Museum<\/a> one finds the Palais Royal. To my absolute delight I found the Cour d\u2019Honneur. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is the inner courtyard of the Palais Royal and an absolute hidden sanctuary to say the least. The existence of this space in the old place isn\u2019t advertised so not many people land up finding it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aside from being a peaceful haven, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-fun-facts-about-parisian-architecture\/\">architecture<\/a> and design of the courtyard make it one of the most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-top-10-instagrammable-spots-in-paris\/\">Instagram<\/a> worthy attractions in Â鶹APP. This is now my go-to place after every <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s5\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a> that runs through the city center. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s3\">3<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Cit\u00e9 Florale in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">13th Arrondissement <\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It didn\u2019t take much convincing to get me onto the metro and headed toward the Floral City upon first hearing about it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nestled deep within the 13th arrondissement is a separate \u201cmini arrondissement\u201d formed in the shape of a perfect triangle. All of the streets that make up this residential triangle are paved with plant life and are also named after different plants &amp; flowers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Floral City is not something widely known amongst the tourists that come to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/10-best-public-places-to-meet-your-tinder-date-in-paris\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a>. It is an attraction that is held dear to the local of the city, particularly of the 13th arrondissement. Visitors who come here need to be respectful of the peace and quiet that is indicative to this part of town and make their way through the streets in a respectful manner. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Remember: people actually <i>live<\/i> here. Its triangular shape means it is almost entirely surrounded by the water of the Seine. Inside there are benches and ample space to picnic or simply laze around. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Most of the foot traffic on and off of this island happens further down near the Pont au Change and the Pont Notre Dame, leaving this far end considerably quiet and desolate even on weekends. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Even better, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-near-concorde-square-paris\/\">square<\/a> is open to the pubic 24 hours a day making it a great escape by both day and night. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"s3\">5<\/span><span class=\"s1\">.1000 &amp; 1 Signes in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">76 Rue de Charonne<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This next quiet zone in Â鶹APP requires both your understanding and respect should you decide it is something you\u2019d like to experience while in the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Across the world in major tourist hubs, silent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/where-to-find-paris-coziest-cafes\/\">cafes<\/a> are taking over and the concept is vastly different to what you\u2019d initially imagine. While there are many beautiful libraries in the city of Â鶹APP, they don\u2019t all value the \u201cno talking\u201d rule that is usually associated with these facilities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Mazarin Library is located in the 6th arrondissement of Â鶹APP and is one of the quietest I\u2019ve been able to find. I most enjoy how dimly lit the space is, relying solely on skylights and reading panels. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The library gets its name thanks to the secret vault that holds an ancient bible dating back to 1250, called the Bible Mazarin. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s3\">8<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Saint-S\u00e9verin Church in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">3 Rue des Pr\u00eatres Saint-S\u00e9verin<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">After paying a visit to the very chaotic church of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/fire-of-notre-dame\/\"> Notre Dame,<\/a> one would leave the island on the Notre Dame bridge heading toward either the Left or Right Banks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you head onto the left you\u2019ll pass directly by a very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/a-list-of-beautiful-churches-in-paris-you-didnt-know\/\">overlooked churc<\/a>h in the city of Â鶹APP. The Church of Saint-S\u00e9verin was completed in the 15th century and is a Catholic space a fraction of the size of the Notre Dame. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The major church attractions in Â鶹APP, such as the Notre Dame and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top10\/10-beautiful-things-to-find-within-sacre-coeur\/\"> Sacre Coeur<\/a>, have very relaxed rules when it comes to noise inside the space. H\u00f4tel Particulier Montmartre in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">Pavillon D, 23 Avenue Junot<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Time and time again this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-boutique-hotels-in-paris\/\">boutique hotel<\/a> nestled in a quiet street in Montmartre comes up as one of the best escapes in all of Â鶹APP. Even foreign celebrities who visit the city agree, and make this their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/luxury-parisian-hotels-compared\/\">hotel<\/a> of choice thanks to its intense privacy and tranquil setting. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The H\u00f4tel Particulier is built into an old townhouse in the suburban area of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement . No quieter spaces on the planet, I\u2019m afraid. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Â鶹APP has many beautiful cemeteries that are open to the public year round.
