Here\u2019s where you\u2019ll go to find the best Algerian food in Â鶹APP. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Laouz in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">136 Rue Saint-Honor\u00e9<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Laouz sits on the Right Bank just between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-best-restaurants-in-le-marais\/\">Le Marais<\/a> and the 1st arrondissement. In terms of Algerian food, Laouz takes care of the sweeter side of the cuisine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Laouz is a pastry and tea house that makes the most delicious sweet treats and traditional Algerian teas to accompany them. Tajine is a popular dish in North Africa and usually involves a lot of vegetables and some sort of meat baked together in<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> a <\/span>pyramid shaped, ceramic dish. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Laouz has a number of Tajines to choose from depending on your taste. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Since you\u2019re in the area already, consider taking a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s2\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a> either west into the beautiful 1st arrondissement or east into the bustling streets of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-way-to-visit-le-marais-in-1-hour\/\">Le Marais. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Les Oliviers in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">11 Rue Linn\u00e9<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Next we\u2019re not he Right Bank at Les Oliviers nearby the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-best-drinking-spots-along-the-seine-river\/\"> Seine River<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Les Oliviers is charming, low key and pays attention to hospitality. The portions are great, the prices are even better and the dish itself is tasty as hell!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The restaurant sits on the south western corner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/why-you-need-to-visit-paris-botanical-garden\/\">Jardin des Plantes<\/a>, the main Botanical Garden of France. This is an unmissable part of the city and the perfect stroll for after your meal at Les Oliviers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">La Fourchette Berb\u00e8re in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\">124 Rue Damr\u00e9mont<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This next spot is quite literally on the outer boundary that makes up the city of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-good-reasons-to-explore-le-bois-de-boulogne-in-paris\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a>. Right where the 17th and 18th arrondissement\u2019s come together, La Fourchette Berb\u00e8re is serving up authentic Algerian food to the people of northern Â鶹APP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The reason I like La Fourchette Berb\u00e8re so much, and believe the trip up north is worth it, is that they do the perfect fusion of the traditional famine and the traditional couscous. Being one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-places-with-jazz-in-paris\/\">jazz<\/a> capitals of the world this is a wonderful little cultural hub that doesn\u2019t always get the love it deserves because of it\u2019s seemingly out of range location. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">Couscous Maison Arc-en-Ciel in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\">49 Rue de Tolbiac<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If the previous restaurant was on the far-most northern boundary of Â鶹APP, then Couscous maison Arc En Ciel is on the south eastern-most boundary in the 13th arrondissement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is probably the most authentic Algerian restaurant in all of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-parisian-artists-of-the-lost-generation\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a>. It is run by and Algerian immigrant family who have worked hard to make Â鶹APP their home over the last few years. <\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16538\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16538\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16538\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/arcenciel-540x310.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/arcenciel-540x310.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/arcenciel-540x310-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16538\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Couscous Maison Arc-en-Ciel &#8211; by Couscous Maison Arc-en-Ciel &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/couscoustolbiac.fr\">Sourced from their website<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You can tell the authenticity right away by the presence of proper North African mint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-tea-salons-in-paris\/\">tea<\/a> from the minute you step inside. This is probably my favorite part of this cuisine as a collective. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Whatever you eat at Couscous maison Arc En Ciel, be sure to end your meal with a fresh pot of the tea and a tray of their homemade Algerian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-pastries-to-try-while-in-paris\/\">pastries<\/a>. This isn\u2019t the kind of restaurant you\u2019ll be able to visit often unless you happen to be a resident of the 13th arrondissement, so be sure to indulge properly! <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">La Couscoussi\u00e8re Plus in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\">23 Rue Claude Tillier<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In an interesting part of Â鶹APP, just south of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-near-pere-lachaise-cemetery\/\">P\u00e8re Lachaise Cemetery<\/a>  there is one last Algerian gem of a restaurant called La Couscoussiere Plus. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I encourage you to have little expectations before coming to this vicinity. The space is understated and the menu very limited; but the food is absolutely <i>magnifique<\/i>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I recommend any of the vegetable based dishes from La Couscoussiere Plus. If you happened to keep walking west from this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-ten-plazas-in-paris\/\">plaza<\/a>, right past La Couscoussiere Plus, you\u2019d eventually come to the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/compared-place-de-la-bastille-vs-place-de-la-concorde\/\">Bastille plaza<\/a>. The two are linked by a single road through the arrondissement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Algerian food is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/where-to-eat-traditional-french-cuisine-in-paris\/\">cuisine<\/a> worth celebrating in all its forms. Africa, Europe and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/discover-the-new-middle-eastern-restaurants-in-paris-you-need-to-try\/\">Middle East<\/a> come together in a range of flavors and creative dishes and it\u2019s beautiful.
