I have my entire life to explore and get to know Â鶹APP, and I enjoy taking it one day at a time. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Certain arrondissements are even then separated again into smaller areas within the neighborhood! As I said: there is never a shortage of areas to explore in Â鶹APP!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Today I want to tell you some interesting information about an area in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-things-paris-tenth-district\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">10th arrondissement<\/a> called Chateau d\u2019Eau. My Â鶹APP experts will perhaps recognize the name as the metro station on the line 9. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">There\u2019s much more to this neighborhood than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-parisian-metro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">metro station<\/a>! Keep reading for my favorite fun facts about Chateau d\u2019Eau in Â鶹APP!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Chateau d\u2019Eau used to be an actual fountain<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m always curious as to how certain things in Â鶹APP get their names, and Chateau d\u2019Eau did not disappoint! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">The Place de la R\u00e9publique in the 10th arrondissement was called Chateau d\u2019Eau until 1879, and consequently a road that branched off of the <i>place<\/i> was named as such. Chateau d\u2019Eau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-tips-for-improving-your-french-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">translates<\/a> to &#8220;water tower&#8221; in English, and can also be used to describe a large fountain. In the 19th century the water in the fountain could be used by Â鶹APPians, similar to modern water towers that exist today!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">The original fountain was called the Girard Fountain, and was briefly integrated into the other fountains at the Place de la R\u00e9publique. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019ve never been to the place, I definitely recommend it! Dark wood, liquor and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/why-are-the-french-famous-for-wine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wine<\/a> bottles, and curiosities line the walls, making it the perfect place for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-romantic-spots-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">date night<\/a> or a dinner with friends. Another great thing about this place is that they source all of their products from merchants in Â鶹APP!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">8 Rue du Faubourg Poissonni\u00e8re, 75010 Â鶹APP<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">Opening hours: Monday-Wednesday 12-2:15pm, 7-10pm, Thursday 12-2:15pm, 7-10:15pm, Friday 12-2:15pm, 7-10:30pm, Saturday 7-10:30pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Papelli <\/b>&#8211; Finding good pizza in Â鶹APP is not only possible, there just happens to be some truly delicious options! Papelli in the Faubourg-Poissonni\u00e8re area just happens to be one of them. Head to this restaurant for either lunch or dinner, and you won&#8217;t be disappointed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">61 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, 75010 Â鶹APP<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">Opening hours: Everyday 11am-3pm, 6pm-12am<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Nous Paradis <\/b>&#8211; This one goes out to all of my fellow vegetarians in Â鶹APP. Nous Paradis has plenty of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-healthy-restaurants-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">healthy<\/a> choices, with the majority of their products being organic and French in origin! I love heading here for a fresh salad, bowl, or their speciality: the Nourrito! Think of the Nourrito as a healthy and nutritious version of those burritos we all know and love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">16 Rue de Paradis, 75010 Â鶹APP<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">Opening hours: Monday-Friday 12-2:30pm, 7-10:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 12-3pm, 7-10:30pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Manicaretti <\/b>&#8211; This is another great <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-italian-restaurants-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Italian<\/a> restaurant, and Manicaretti is serving up some seriously delicious pasta for lunch! Bonus? Everything on the menu is gluten free and lactose free, and there are vegetarian options. It is located in what is called a <i>Passage couverts de Â鶹APP, <\/i>or a glass covered arcade in English. Â鶹APP is crawling with these arcades and one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is to wander around the city to scout them out. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">My suggestions? Pooja Namo and Yasmin. There are at least 7 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/an-insiders-guide-to-theatres-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">theatres<\/a>, perfect for watching a show before or after you\u2019ve eaten. The Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Antoine, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Libre &#8211; le Com\u00e9dia, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Gymnase, the Le Splendid, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Renaissance et Eldorado are just a few!
