Boating impressive cocktail menus, happy hour specials and impressive entertainment; the Lisbon rooftop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/lisbon-top-5-night-bars\/\">bars<\/a> are a cultural scene of their own, bringing together locals and tourists in spaces safe for all. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here are a few of the best, though I will say that very often the better way to find these hidden gems is just to roam the streets and follow the crowds<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> <\/span><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Memmo Alfama Terrace in Lisbon <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Tv. Merceeiras 27<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Memmo Alfama is the rooftop bar attached to the boutique hotel with the same name. The rooftop is widely known as being one of the only red pools in the world \u2014 yes, you read that correctly. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/where-to-swim-in-lisbon\/\">swimming pool<\/a> is tiled completely red giving the water a very unusual appearance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">To get to the bar you\u2019ll head to the cobblestone alley in the back of the hotel. By day you\u2019ll find the hotel guests lazing about and by night the space shifts into an open bar area where even non-hotel residents are welcomes to enjoy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sun loungers are available to all on the level below the bar deck. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Topo in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Commercial Center Martim Moniz, Praca Martim Moniz<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Staying near the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/a-walk-in-alfama\/\">Alfama<\/a>, Topo Rooftop is fast becoming one of the trendiest places to see and be seen while in Lisbon. This is largely due to how tricky it can be to find. It is on the top floor of a very unassuming shopping mall called Martim Moniz. You\u2019ll get to the bar by entering the mall and taking the elevator to the 6th floor. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Come hungry! The tapas as Topo are delicious!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">Bairro Alto Hotel Terrace in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">Pra\u00e7a Lu\u00eds de Cam\u00f5es 2<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/what-to-do-in-lisbon-around-bairro-alto\/\">Barrio Alto<\/a> is a historic neighborhood in terms of greater Lisbon. It\u2019s panoramic and stretches as far as the eye can see right across the shores of Lisbon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is a spacious rooftop which has caused it to become a favorite hangout for local Lisbon dwellers as well. You\u2019ll have to arrive early if you\u2019d like to get a table, especially if you\u2019d like to be there for sunset (which I do recommend). <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-6-cafes-of-lisbon\/\">rooftop<\/a> bar actually sits on the Pra\u00e7a Lu\u00eds de Cam\u00f5es, a popular public square in the Barrio! <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">Chapit\u00f4 \u00e0 Mesa in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">Costa do Castelo 7<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you take anything from this roundup it should be this next rooftop bar. Take the stairs up\u2026 and more stairs up\u2026 and just when you think you\u2019ve made it to the top, find the additional skinny staircase and let it take you right through to the terrace. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Once inside this hidden gem you\u2019ll believe the hype. The menu is simple and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-portuguese-dishes-you-should-try\/\">distinctly Portuguese.<\/a> In this bar you\u2019ll sip port wines while the sun bounces off of the surrounding rooftops. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The outside tables are where you want to sit if possible. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">Terra\u00e7o Chill-Out Lim\u00e3o in Lisbon <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">Av. Duque de Loul\u00e9 83<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Calm, chic and central to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/lisbon-in-two-hours\/\">Lisbon<\/a>, this new terrace is making waves since the recent opening of the boutique hotel that it is attached to. The H10 Duque de Loul\u00e9 is a new concept built into a beautiful 18th century building in the Lisbon city center. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The rooftop Lim\u00e3o has fast become one of the most popular afterwork hangouts for those residing in the area. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The blue, white and wooden theme of the rooftop gives the space a slightly Greek feel, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-instagram-and-photography-spots-in-lisbon\/\">overlooking the Tagus<\/a> you are quickly transported right back to Lisbon at first glance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is not the kind of place where one comes to get loud and rowdy. The rooftop is modest and ideal for people looking to engage in conversation, enjoy thoughtfully crafted drinks and appreciate the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you know where to look, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-in-lisbon-in-august\/\">Lisbon<\/a> is rooftop bar heaven.
