For starters, you already have the same taste in music \u2014 so the worst is over. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aside from Olympia Hall there are many other venues to catch impressive performances. The La Cigale is another favorite of mine along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-restaurants-near-opera-and-grands-boulevards\/\">Â鶹APP Opera<\/a> that also holds musical gatherings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tickets can be bought online in advance for all of these venues, or at the box office just before the shows (provided they aren\u2019t sold out). <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">4. If this one is full there are about twenty more around the city. The Metro in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You\u2019ll laugh, but I\u2019ve made some of my best Â鶹APPian friends just by sitting next to them on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/how-to-use-the-metro-in-paris\/\">metro<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At first I didn\u2019t think anything of it. I tended to my day as I normally would and asked the stranger next to me a question of genuine curiosity. Fast forward months down the line and we are friends to this day. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The metro is a place where time is of the essence, and interactions are either genuine or not at all. The stations are distributed all across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/plan-trip-paris\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a>\u2019 various arrondissements. Whether people have an hour to spare or an entire day to waste it is likely they will do so in their preferred cafe somewhere in the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You\u2019ll find cafes in your district just by roaming the streets until one calls your name. This cafe is a hit or miss, some days are extremely touristy, but if you can find a quite morning to spend some time here then striking conversation with willing strangers isn\u2019t hard. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">My <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-paris-cafes\/\">top cafe<\/a> dwelling tip would be take a book along to read in between eating and meeting people. It gives you something to do in the awkward moments and also gives you an \u2018out\u2019 should you need to get away from someone unappealing after a few minutes. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">9<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Hotel Bars in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Many people underestimate the power of a good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-2-star-hotels-of-paris\/\">hotel<\/a> bar and the people that it brings tougher day by day. I always imagine being a fly on the wall in the most elaborate business hotels around Â鶹APP; where people are in town for a night or two and have nothing better to do than mingle at the bar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What\u2019s more, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/our-recommended-3-star-hotels-in-paris\/\">hotel<\/a> bars seem to come with their own twinge of escapism. Once inside you lose all sense of time and space \u2014 suddenly you\u2019re back in the 20s drinking whiskey on the rocks with Hemingway and Picasso themselves. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Spot the loners of the hotel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/7-insolite-and-original-bars-you-must-try-in-paris\/\">bar<\/a> and take it as an opportunity to introduce yourself. At worst you\u2019ll share a drink and some banter with a stranger before heading your separate ways \u2014 there are worse ways to spend an evening in Â鶹APP.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">10<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Plazas in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Public spaces are always preferable when meeting strangers. Parks and Gardens in Â鶹APP<\/h4>\n<p>Visiting popular Â鶹APP parks or gardens such as Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is a great way to meet people while you appreciate the natural beauty of the parks.
