All across the city there are new concept cafes and coffee shops popping up by the dozen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This tends to be the nature of cafes in Europe; out with the old and in with the new. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cafes are great places to meet people, especially if you are a solo traveler in Europe. I know, I\u2019ve been there. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here are six of the very best!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">1. Tease in Lisbon <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">R. This one is outside of the center toward the western side of Lisbon. For this reason, it usually isn\u2019t overcrowded with people and you\u2019re guaranteed a seat at any point in the day. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Being so far from the center, Tease is the kind of place you\u2019ll go to to spend time. I wouldn\u2019t recommend doing a grab-and-go stint at this cafe. Enjoy a hot beverage and fresh baked treat while you take in the cool ambiance of the space. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">2. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Heim Cafe in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">R. Santos-O-Velho 2 e 4<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A light and bright cafe within walking distance of the beach? You\u2019ve got it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Heim Cafe is one of my favorite places in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-during-spring-in-lisbon\/\">Lisbon<\/a>. The space is bright and filled with plants, you can lose hours here in pure bliss. It\u2019s a great place for freelancers to work the afternoon away. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Brunch is peak time at Heim; it sometimes take a wait in order to get a table. Being so close to the ocean, this area offers a variety of bars in addition to the cafes where patrons can move to as the sun descends. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Matiz Pombalina Cocktail Bar is across the road from Heim Cafe. Having a late lunch at Heim and then moving over to the Matiz Pombalina is ritual for many Lisbon locals \u2014 see for yourself!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">3. Montana Lisboa Caf\u00e9 in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\">Rua da Cintura do Porto de Lisboa<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Our next cafe is located in central Cais do Sodr\u00e9, not right on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-beaches-in-lisbon\/\">Tagus<\/a> promenade. It is built inside of an old converted warehouse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Inside the space, the cafe collaborate with a street shop and gallery. Diners enjoy their meals as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/a-locals-guide-to-lisbon-street-art\/\">street artists<\/a> come in and out looking to purchase paints or pieces that are on display. The rainbow salmon dish is about as photo-worthy as a meal can get. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cais do Sodr\u00e9 is a great way to see Lisbon by foot. The town is no stranger to <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/type\/free-tours\/?town=lisbon-walking-tours\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s5\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a>s going by throughout the day. Being able to dip in the water before or after your tour and follow it by a visit to Montana Cafe is a day well spent if you ask me. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p10\"><span class=\"s1\">4. Wish in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">Espa\u00e7o G 02a, R. Rodrigues de Faria 103<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wish brands themselves as a \u201cconcept store and slow coffee house\u201d. This isn&#8217;t the kind of cafe you spend your freelancing afternoons unless you live somewhere in the area. The experience of it all is worth doing at least once. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The cafe serves delectable drinks and treats while also selling clothes, furniture and home accessories. Don\u2019t leave without trying one of their Pastel de Natas; since the cafe is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/20-unmissable-attractions-in-portugal\/\">Portuguese<\/a> owned these are as authentic as they come. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">5. Copenhagen Coffee Lab in Lisbon <\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\">R. Nova da Piedade 10<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Copenhagen Coffee Lab is found just south of the Botanical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/what-to-see-in-sintra-near-lisbon\/\">Gardens<\/a> of Lisbon. This is the cafe where you want to be for breakfast! They will even press your beans into the brew of your choosing. Coffee in this cafe is notably more expensive that other parts of town \u2014 bare this in mind!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Two more words to note: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-food-markets-in-lisbon\/\">avocado toast<\/a>! <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p10\"><span class=\"s1\">6. Le Petit Prince Culture Cafe in Lisbon<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">R. Cec\u00edlio de Sousa 1a <\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Last but not least, my very favorite cafe in all of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-3-most-enchanting-libraries-near-lisbon\/\">Lisbon<\/a>. Here at Le Petit Prince the tables are piled with books and blank pieces of sketch paper. Patrons to the cafe are encouraged to enjoy them at their leisure \u2014 read for hours or make art while you dine in the space.2<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you can go with a friend, do!
