Being raised with sauerkraut as a staple, I make it my mission to find the best of the best in every city that I live in. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019re not up for restaurant hunting, making German food at home in Â鶹APP is relatively simple too. Most of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-food-to-bring-back-from-france\/\">French<\/a> deli\u2019s will stock some sort of wurst for you to prepare yourself; sp\u00e4tzle you can make as well and sauerkraut is available at most supermarkets. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019re lazy (like me) here are three fabulous and <i>very<\/i> German establishments around Â鶹APP to head to to get your fix!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Kiez in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">24 rue Vauvenargues<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For many expats it isn\u2019t always just the German food that they crave while living in Â鶹APP, it\u2019s also the ambiance and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-paris-authentic-french-food-restaurants\/\">authenticity<\/a> of a real \u201cbiergarten\u201d that they miss deeply!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-parisian-beers\/\">Beer<\/a> gardens in Germany are central to the character of the culture. It\u2019s not far from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-non-touristy-restaurants-in-montmartre\/\">Montmartre<\/a> and you\u2019re likely to head in it\u2019s direction while on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\"><span class=\"s2\">free guided walking tour<\/span><\/a> of this historic district. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This little spot is as authentically German as it comes. Wooden furniture, mustard and ketchup bottles everywhere and the three striped flag hanging all around the space. The weekends are also great because they do a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-best-brunches-in-paris\/\">brunch<\/a>\u201d wherein the chef prepares a buffet of foods for patrons to choose from. Usually the menu includes fresh sp\u00e4tzle, schweinebraten and of course, bratwurst. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Kiez is open air so going when the weather is good is preferable. The also offer free Wifi for anyone who would like to do freelance work from the garden. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Average cost: Under \u20ac20<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Le Stube in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">31 Rue de Richelieu<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While Keiz may be the first official German beer garden to open in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/where-to-go-swing-dancing-in-paris\/\">Â鶹APP<\/a>, Le Stube was actually the first ever German food establishment to open in the city. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">No need to travel far for this one either, Le Stube is in the heart of Â鶹APP centre over in the 1st arrondissement. Its just north of attractions such as the Louvre museum and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/luxembourg-vs-tuileries-which-garden-to-choose\/\"> Tuileries Gardens<\/a>. It is a bakery\/coffee shop run by a man named Gerhard who is originally from Hessen, Germany. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">His apple strudel is outer worldly! And although I\u2019ve never been able to enjoy black forest cake at the best of times, even I couldn\u2019t turn my nose up at Le Stube\u2019s. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What people really come here for, however, is Gerhard\u2019s currywurst. I never leave Le Stube without a big box of schweine ohren (pigs ear) pastries\u2014 they keep for days and are my favorite with a cup of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-tea-salons-in-paris\/\">tea<\/a> on chilly<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>afternoons. No pigs harmed in the process, promise. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Average cost: Under \u20ac10<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">Wunderb\u00e4r in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p8\"><span class=\"s1\">16 Rue Beaurepaire<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wunderb\u00e4r is a new addition to the 10th arrondissement and is a weird and wonderful take on the German <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/10-amazing-things-to-eat-in-saint-michel\/\">cuisine<\/a> in Â鶹APP. Traditional German food takes a bit of a hipster, gourmet spin in this restaurant \u2014 and it\u2019s great!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The wurst is authentic, its the sides that get creative. I enjoyed the potatoes the best and the quinoa salad wasn\u2019t bad either.
