The red brick fa\u00e7ade is charming and evokes an \u2018art noveau\u2019 style. Inside, the vaulted ceiling is impressively ecclesiastical in appearance.<\/p>\n<p>I include it with enthusiasm in this list as it\u2019s off the tourist trail, a little out of central Â鶹APP in the depths of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/what-to-do-in-the-left-bank-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rive Gauche<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Butte aux Cailles neighbourhood is a micro market, as Â鶹APPian estate agents would say. Despite it\u2019s location in the 13<sup>th<\/sup> arrondissement, an area not famed for its beauty or monuments, it has an undeniably charming village feel.<\/p>\n<p>It is this intimate feeling of having found \u201cla provence \u00e0 Â鶹APP\u201d that attracts many young families to this area. In Â鶹APP on business and want a morning swim to start your day right? It couldn\u2019t be easier!<\/p>\n<p>Take the line 7 to Tolbiac or the 6 coming into Corvisart. It\u2019s a little longer from Place d\u2019Italie (a ten minute walk), but there you have a choice of both lines, as well as the line 5.<\/p>\n<p>Entrance will set you back just \u20ac3.50 for a full price adult. Take an extra euro for your locker.<\/p>\n<p>I would recommend avoiding Wednesday afternoon swims if you can, as the pool welcomes groups of school children for lessons.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Full price entrance remains standard at \u20ac3.50. You\u2019ll want to arrive by m\u00e9tro Rue de la Pompe or Porte Dauphine.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also a good spot for diving as the main pool\u2019s maximum depth is 3m70. In anticipation, nose clips, as well as swimming hats and armbands are on sale. Piscine &#8216;le club priv\u00e9&#8217; at the Ritz<\/h4>\n<p>This is undoubtedly the most luxurious offer on our list. This includes use of the gym, sauna, hammam, fitness and all relaxation areas. For 300\u20ac pp, an hour long massage is added to the package, to resurface entirely refreshed and revitalized from a day at the Ritz.<\/p>\n<p>I won\u2019t recommend this as an everyday address, but if you\u2019re in Â鶹APP for a special occasion (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/romantic-things-to-do-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">honeymoon<\/a>, anniversary, mother-daughter trip), and you\u2019re curious to experience one of the most beautiful indoor pools in Â鶹APP for yourself, you know where to go: 15 Place V\u00eandome, the Ritz Â鶹APP.<\/p>\n<p>And if you&#8217;d rather just enjoy this luxurious neighbourhood, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-fun-facts-about-place-vendome-in-paris\/\">here<\/a> are some tips!<\/p>\n<h4>4. Piscine Jos\u00e9phine Baker<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re reading this article hot off the press the Jos\u00e9phine Baker pool might not be open for your stay.<\/p>\n<p>They closed just eleven days ago and will definitely have their doors shut to the public until February 18<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 if they then open on the 19<sup>th<\/sup>, or later in the month or March, waits to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>Even so they certainly deserve a place in the top five, as the piscine Jos\u00e9phine baker is a floating, heated glass-roofed swimming pool on the Seine!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14954\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14954\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14954\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscine_josephine_baker_sur_la_seine.wikicommons.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscine_josephine_baker_sur_la_seine.wikicommons.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscine_josephine_baker_sur_la_seine.wikicommons-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscine_josephine_baker_sur_la_seine.wikicommons-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14954\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Piscine Jos\u00e9phine Baker, WikiCommons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The members of staff are friendly and helpful. They are used to large numbers of visitors, including tourists (this is especially true in the summer).<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9phine Baker charges just a few centimes more than other public Â鶹APPian pools in low season, \u20ac3.80. However, in high season this rises to \u20ac6.50 for a regular priced entrance.<\/p>\n<p>Excluding refurbishment, unforeseen closure and bank holidays, the pool is normally open every day of the week, with hours changing to allow for low season, high season (where it stays open until 11pm!) and school holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The pool\u2019s incredible location on the left bank of the Seine, Quai Fran\u00e7ois Mauriac, is easily accessible by metro. It\u2019s just four minutes walking from Quai de la Gare, on the line 6, or a ten-minute walk from the line 14 at Biblioth\u00e8que Fran\u00e7ois Mitterand.<\/p>\n<h4>5. Piscine des Amiraux<\/h4>\n<p>Admirals and others are all welcome at this municipal indoor pool in the far north of Â鶹APP and the 18th arrondissement. Piscine Molitor<\/h4>\n<p>The Piscine Molitor didn\u2019t make my list for a couple of reasons; it\u2019s principally an outdoor pool and it\u2019s fairly hard to get in, if you are not staying at their hotel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14955\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14955\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14955\" src=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscinemolitor2015.wikicommons.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscinemolitor2015.wikicommons.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscinemolitor2015.wikicommons-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/piscinemolitor2015.wikicommons-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14955\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Piscine Molitor 2015, WikiCommons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>That said, it would be mad to write a detailed article on Â鶹APPian pools (chosen in part for their looks) and leave out this stunner altogether.<\/p>\n<p>The piscine Molitor holds a rather mythical place in Â鶹APPian history.<\/p>\n<p>It has been described as \u2018quite simply the most beautiful swimming pool in Â鶹APP\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Art deco masterpiece was frequented by glamourous crowds in its heyday. Dubbed \u2018the birthplace of the bikini\u2019, as it was there in 1946 that Louis R\u00e9ard presented this creation worn by a Casino de Â鶹APP danser.<\/p>\n<p>Closed and practically condemned during summer 1989, neighbourhood locals and longstanding fans of the pool set up the lobbying group \u2018SOS Molitor\u2019 in a bid to save it. The initial quote was a little under 65 million euros and they ended up spending closer to 80.<\/p>\n<p>The glamourous spot, restored to her former glory reopened in 2014. Piscine Pontoise<\/h4>\n<p>The Piscine Pontoise is a beautiful pool located in the 5<sup>th<\/sup>. But sadly closed for renovation until December 2019. So if you\u2019re visit to Â鶹APP is planned for this year, it shouldn\u2019t make your list.<\/p>\n<p>However, from 2020 this is by far one of the prettiest public pools. The architecture of the Pailleron pool is one of its most stunning aspects, transporting you to the 1930s with its art deco flair.<\/p>\n<p>The massive space feels very open, with a wide glass dome that overlooks the main pool, yet its enormous popularity can result in long lines, tight changing rooms, and congested, not-so-clean water sections. It&#8217;s best to visit during the week and avoid weekends.<\/p>\n<h4>9. Piscine Georges Hermant<\/h4>\n<p>The Piscine Georges Hermant in Â鶹APP&#8217;s 19th arrondissement is mostly geared toward serious swimmers. It is one of the few 50-meter pools in Â鶹APP, making it perfect for accumulating lengths! You can also participate in a variety of water sports.
