At least that\u2019s my theory on the matter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Whether you\u2019re climbing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/5-things-to-learn-from-montparnasse\/\">Montparnasse<\/a> Tower in the west, or scaling the hills of the north east \u2014 you\u2019re almost guaranteed a view that renders even the most talkative individuals speechless. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Perhaps it\u2019s the miles and miles of uniform grey concrete. Or the greenery that calls the spaces between the concrete home. Perhaps it\u2019s the light that bounces from the iron castings to the statues. I believe Ernest Hemingway put it best when he described his years living in the city during the 1920s; a \u201cmoveable feast\u201d he called it. A city that stays and moves with you; and undoubtably a feast for the eyes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While you don\u2019t have to venture very far to find a great view of Â鶹APP (they\u2019re pretty much on every corner); there are a few places where one could dub the view most memorable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you only have a limited amount of time in the city then it is important to know exactly where to go to experience the full impact of the city skyline. The following views are about as \u201cpicturesque\u201d as they come \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-bustronome-paris-what-to-expect\/\">panoramic views<\/a> of Â鶹APP that will etch themselves into your mind for years to come. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Let\u2019s explore shall we?<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">The Pompidou Center in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Place Georges-Pompidou<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One of the architectural marvels of the 4th arrondissement, the Pompidou Center is an unsuspecting place for one of the most memorable views in all of Â鶹APP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Most people known the centre as that building with the colored tubing and elevators on the outside. You\u2019ll be able to get in some valuable art viewing while simultaneously observing one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Â鶹APPian skyline. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The incredible view can be found on the 6th floor of the building. The art can be found on the floors below. A great spot to stop for a bite of French cuisine while enjoying the panoramic view of Â鶹APP. Try stop here for a pot of tea at least, even if you\u2019re not hungry you can still bask in the view for a few minutes longer. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The museum and viewing floor are open to the public for free on the first Sunday of every month so keep this in mind if you happen to be in the area. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Centre admission: \u20ac14 6th floor admission only: \u20ac5<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Notre Dame Cathedral in Â鶹APP<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">6 Parvis Notre-Dame &#8211; Pl. Jean-Paul II<\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As we know, the city of Â鶹APP is made up of 20 districts known as \u201carrondissements\u201d. These districts are divided into a clockwise spiral starting from the centre of the city. The official centre point is situated just in front of the very well known cathedral of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-best-way-to-visit-notre-dame-de-paris\/\">Notre Dame<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Climbing up to the tower of the cathedral gives visitors something that is known as the \u201cgargoyle\u2019s view of Â鶹APP\u201d. On one end the Eiffel Tower looms in the distance, strong and tall over the Western districts. On the other side, the delicate presence of Sacre-Coeur on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/the-10-best-things-to-do-in-montmartre-with-kids\/\">Montmartre<\/a> hillside is a treat for the eyes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Â鶹APPian skyline is not all there is to experience at Notre Dame. The cathedral itself is an exceptional example of fine French gothic architecture. What\u2019s more, the town of Notre Dame is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner in. Many Â鶹APPian hotel rooftops keep their panoramic views very low-key to avoid the craze of the public. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Shangri La are known for their hotels around the world. They are almost always attached to some incredible building that features a panoramic viewing deck of some sort. It is located not far from the Seine and is just across the water from the Eiffel Tower \u2014 so you can imagine the view that their rooftop lounge must boast. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You wont be able to stroll into this venue for \u201ca quick look\u201d. I suggest making an evening reservation sometime around sun down and settle in for a glass of wine and some snacks. Watching the sun light descend from Â鶹APP as the city lights come up will have the hairs on your neck standing upright. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Shangri La rooftop is also probably the best place to be on July 14th every year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-in-paris-on-bastille-day\/\">Bastille Day in Â鶹APP<\/a> is a big deal. Every year from the middle of November until the beginning of May there is a giant ferris wheel that is constructed in the district centre. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The wheel has become a holiday favorite for both locals and tourists who love riding the structure with family and friends during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-in-paris-in-winter\/\">festive seasons<\/a>. Ten points to whoever spots the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/things-to-do-in-the-orangerie\/\">Orangerie<\/a> Museum and the glass pyramid of the Louvre first!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I make a point of trying to ride the Â鶹APP ferris wheel at least once a year because I really enjoy that it is not something that everyone has done or can do anytime. What better way to kiss the city goodnight than from on the very top of it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Admission fee: \u20ac8<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\">Sacre-Coeur Basilica Steps<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6>35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre<\/h6>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019ve viewed any of the Â鶹APPian skyline prior to this chances are you can already pin point the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/what-is-the-best-way-to-get-to-the-sacre-coeur-in-montmartre\/\">Sacred Heart<\/a> church of Â鶹APP. It\u2019s bohemian artist&#8217;s flair still runs deep within the district\u2019s streets. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">By just walking through here you\u2019ll be overcome with a deep sense of the progress made by Â鶹APP in more recent centuries involving everything from art and design to entrepreneurism and immigration . <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At the very top of Montmartre sits this elaborate structure known as Sacre-Coeur. The church itself is beautiful to behold; far more delicate to the eye compared to the more gothic layout of other Â鶹APPian places of worship. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The steps to the front of the church, however, are where the true magic happens. If you feel the need you can also climb up to the church\u2019s dome tower for an even higher view, though it isn\u2019t really necessary in my opinion. The entire process can be somewhat of a mission due to the long lines and slow nature of the tower\u2019s elevators. If you\u2019re up to claiming the 1710 stairs then that option is yours for the taking as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Going up the Eiffel Tower once is good enough. The view is magnificent, not something to easily put into words. Every minute the elevator spends climbing higher and higher the more of Â鶹APP\u2019 array of districts comes into view.
