Formerly known for being the center of &#8220;Â鶹APP by Night&#8221;, Pigalle&#8217;s many sex shops adult cinemas and cabarets gave the area quite a seedy reputation. Most people hear the word Pigalle and imagine the Moulin Rouge and Â鶹APP&#8217; Red Light District. While these institutions certainly give the neighborhood character, they&#8217;re no longer the area&#8217;s sole defining feature.<\/p>\n<p>Once the center of Â鶹APPian cabaret nightlife, the neighborhood has evolved into a hip and artsy hangout for Â鶹APPian cool kids. The area to the south of Place Pigalle (known as SoPi by the locals) has definitely undergone the biggest transformation. The Red Light District vibe has all but disappeared, and has been replaced with upscale boutiques, trendy restaurants and chic cocktail lounges. Now SoPi is home to excellent shopping and dining options as well as some of the coolest museums in Â鶹APP. Pigalle is without a doubt one of the most up and coming areas in the city, making it a great home base for your trip to Â鶹APP.<\/p>\n<p>Read on to discover my <strong>3 favorite places to stay in Pigalle!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>1. Expertly decorated by one of Â鶹APP&#8217; best design teams, this boutique hotel is also super well-located. The rooms are all comfortable and boast views overlooking one of Â鶹APP&#8217; most historic districts.<\/p>\n<p>Classic elegance meets modern minimalism at the Grand Pigalle. When you enter the hotel it&#8217;s like taking a trip back in time. Velvet accents compliment the ancient spiral staircase and give way to the refined, cozy atmosphere.\u00a0 Their fully-stocked wine bar is the perfect place to relax after a long day, and there&#8217;s over 100 wines to choose from! And don&#8217;t miss out on the cool in-hotel restaurant serving up amazing brunches. To find the hotel, you actually need to know just where to look. Expertly hidden on the quiet Rue de Bruxelles, all that alerts guests to it&#8217;s existence is a small plaque by the door. Step through the doors and into your own secret Â鶹APPian escape.<\/p>\n<p>Once you enter this 5 star hotel, you&#8217;ll be greeted by a lavish and sultry interior, dark wood paneling and rich red velvet enveloping you in true Belle Epoque style. This super design hotel boasts 20 rooms and 6 suites, each featuring their own enchanting international theme. The rooms still hold onto their original boudoir vibe, but have been remodeled to evoke a modern elegance and refined appeal. All of the rooms have their own unique special features, and the hotel spa even includes a pool (still available for rental by the hour). Whichever room you choose, you&#8217;re in for a treat. Not only is the location great, but this hotel is absolutely full of charm. As its name suggests, this 3 star boutique hotel is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a little romance. Since you&#8217;re so close to many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-secret-museums-of-paris\/\">museums<\/a> and monuments, Hotel Amour makes a great home base for exploring Â鶹APP.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel is comprised of just 24 rooms, each decorated in true eclectic Â鶹APPian style. Rooms are comfortable yet cozy, and the hotel also offers two duplex suites to choose from. The decor is all sourced from decades of yesteryear, giving the hotel a cool, antique vibe and just the right amount of romance. From disco balls to indoor gardens and exceptional paintings there are plenty of surprises awaiting you at Hotel Amour.
