There\u2019s just something about hunting through racks and piles of clothing to find that perfectly unique piece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"> I\u2019m sure I wouldn\u2019t be alone if I mention that cringe-y feeling you get when you\u2019re walking down the street and you see someone wearing almost exactly the same thing as you, most likely found at a chain store. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">The perfect way to avoid this is to head into a vintage or thrift shop, where the diversity can be a breath of fresh air to your wardrobe.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Another bonus about vintage shopping that I love is that with consumerism being the norm in many societies, this is an alternative but stylish way to go green and help the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">There\u2019s no shortage of vintage shops in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_campaign=Blog&amp;utm_content=Vintage%20shopping%20Â鶹APP%20%2F%20tours%20homepage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Â鶹APP<\/a>, as with any major city! There have been so many times that I\u2019ve gone on a shopping trip, and end up finding nothing at all because I don\u2019t have an idea of my mission of the day. Too many choices without a clear sense of direction can be a recipe for disaster and also a waste of money if you end up buying something you eventually won&#8217;t have much use for!&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019re not much of a list maker, at least try to find some photos of styles you like and that you\u2019d like to emulate. There are multiple locations across the city, but my preference is definitely their shop at 61 rue de la Verrerie in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-10-fashion-stores-in-le-marais\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marais<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">My best find? A leather trench coat for just 1 euro. Yes, you read that right! It is clean, open, and filled with racks and racks of vintage gems just waiting for you to sort through. For me, it has a vibe that lands in between Free\u2019p\u2019star and the Kilo Shop. While there is a lot to choose from here, you don\u2019t get that suffocated feeling you can sometimes get while hunting for vintage treasures. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">My favorite find here? Their Levi\u2019s jeans for just 35 euros. Their prices vary from 3-25 euros, and one of my good friends scored an amazing down filled coat for just 15 euros! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Geurrisol is a worldwide chain of stores, and the company prides itself on the fact that they lessen their carbon footprint by recycling clothing. Vintage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/shopping-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shopping<\/a> is one stylish way to go green. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">There are 10 locations throughout Â鶹APP. There are quite a few Red Cross locations throughout the city, but their Place de la R\u00e9publique location is my top pick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">The Unit\u00e9 Locale is similarly set up to Geurrisol, and their price point is about the same. My favorite find at this store was a purple straw bag which turned into the perfect beach bag for the summer.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Want to support your fellow mankind? The charity collects donations of clothing, furniture, and other necessities to either donate, or to sell at low prices. All of the proceeds from their shops also go back into the charity in order to help others!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">There are several Emma\u00fcs Boutique locations throughout Â鶹APP. The largest, and my personal favorite, is located in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/best-things-to-do-in-paris-9th-district\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">9th arrondissement<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Prices are low, and you\u2019ll have to do some hunting as with the other shops in this section, but I\u2019ve personally found quite a few gems here!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">As mentioned, the stores also carry furniture! All of your fundamental vintage necessities, such as 70s-era gowns for costume parties and 80s-era Adidas purses and tracksuits, are available here. However, Episode also sells repaired clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Outdated sweaters have been changed into beautiful tank tops, oversized tee shirts have been transformed into skirts, and American sorority girl clothing has been transformed into sporty shorts.<\/p>\n<p>The interior of the shop is a bit of a maze, but it is really neatly structured. Customers can simply locate the clothes or accessories they seek. The boutique sells both men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s apparel, as well as children&#8217;s items on occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The prices are fair, around \u20ac10-\u20ac15 for a shirt, or \u20ac30-\u20ac40 for a military-style fur coat that&#8217;ll last you through the winter.
