From the first floor, you will be about 57 meters above ground level. From the second floor, you will be 115 meters above ground level. From the third floor, you will be about 276 meters above ground level. And if you reach the top of the tower, you will be 309 meters above ground level. Whenever one is at its feet, they get amazed by its impressive highness. This fair was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the <i>Prise de la Bastille<\/i>, \u201cthe storming of the Bastille\u201d, which is now the <i>f\u00eate nationale<\/i> that commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution and the start of the French struggle for democracy. Inaugurated in 1889, the tower was meant to be destroyed after twenty years but a new purpose was given to the tower so that it wouldn&#8217;t be demolished. Its name means &#8220;<i>Our Lady<\/i>&#8221; and is dedicated to the <i>Virgin Mary<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>Many important events occured in the <i><strong>Notre Dame Cathedral<\/i><\/strong>, such as the coronation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/blog\/top-5-fun-facts-about-napoleon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Napoleon Bonaparte<\/a>, the beatification of Joan of Arc, and the coronation of Henry VI of England.   <\/p>\n<p>This cathedral is one of the best places to enjoy <strong>Â鶹APP from above<\/strong> thanks to its two towers that are 69 meters tall. You can access the towers from the right side of the cathedral, but since there are no elevators, you will have to climb almost 400 steps.
