The Marais used to be an old marshy zone. But since the twelfth century, some religious orders and members of the Â鶹APPian aristocracy established there. Nonetheless, after the French Revolution, wealthy landowners were chased and plenty of craftsmen and workers occupied the mansions of the Marais and built workshops in inner courtyards. <\/p>\n<p>The Northern part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/paris-walking-tours\/trendy-marais-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopenner\"><strong>Marais<\/strong><\/a> is a very interesting place for lots of reasons. Thanks to its close location to the <i><b>Centre Pompidou<\/i><\/b> and to the opening of the <i><b>Picasso Museum<\/i><\/b> in 1985, Â鶹APP third district is full of museums, art galleries, \u201c<i>h\u00f4tel particuliers<\/i>\u201d, that provide an awesome walk in the city of Â鶹APP. It traces back the whole evolution and construction of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwalks.com\/tour\/city\/paris-walking-tours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopenner\"><strong>Â鶹APP<\/strong><\/a>.
