The best way to start your day is by eating a huge and delicious French breakfast! This one-day in Â鶹APP itinerary is not an option when you visit Â鶹APP in one day. Â鶹APPians love to buy some bread – the baguette – fresh out of the oven, slice it and toast it.

Then, they spread either jam or butter on it. To go with the toasts, Â鶹APPians love a hot drink, such as coffee or tea. They also love a glass of orange juice to enhance the flavour of bread. If you’re not really into toasts and bread, you will thoroughly enjoy our pastries! Our croissants and pains au chocolat are to die for and are an excellent alternative to the baguette!

You will find plenty of bakeries and pastry shops all around Â鶹APP for you to get the best pains au chocolat and croissants for your breakfast! Alternatively, metro tickets cost $3 and last 4 minutes. You have to take line C of the RER, which is the Â鶹APP high-speed train service, from the Champs de Mars – Tour Eiffel station to the Invalides station.

On foot, you will spend about thirty minutes to get there. This shouldn’t miss in your one-day Â鶹APP itinerary.

The Seine River passes through the heart of the French capital, offering various views of major sites. If you want to explore Â鶹APP, it’s a terrific place to go for a sunset stroll. Make multiple stops at Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and so on.

There are several bakeries in Â鶹APP, so you can eat snacks while walking. Walk down the Seine River until you reach Pont de la Tournelle, which leads to île Saint-Louis, popularly known as the “island of the palaces.” Take a moment to observe the panoramic perspective of Notre Dame Cathedral’s chevet, which remains as stunning as ever despite the ravages of the April 2019 devastating fire.

Don’t miss the Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge on Â鶹APP’ Seine River, which is a beautiful sight in the city center. The most direct route is to disembark at the Pont Neuf Metro station (Line 7) and walk across the bridge. If you’re visiting Notre Dame Cathedral or the Sainte-Chapelle, it’s also easily accessible from the Ile de la Cité.

If you have time, go around the streets of Â鶹APP’ historic center, such as the Quai d’Orléans, the Quai de Bourbon, and the Place Louis Aragon. From the quacking of the ducks on the river to the elegant townhouses – including number 15 Rue d’Anjou, where Charles Baudelaire and Théophile Gautier founded the Club des Hachischins – art galleries, and the world-famous Berthillon ice-cream parlor – soak up the tranquil atmosphere that reigns here. Then, on the right bank of the Seine, cross the river again via Pont Marie, a continuation of Pont de la Tournelle.

If not tired you can take a Seine river cruise which is the ideal way to see Â鶹APP, particularly at night. Being on the river as the sun sets and the lights turn on all around you has a magical quality to it. Allow yourself to be tempted by a Seine cruise if you are looking for a unique way to discover Â鶹APP!

Boulevard Saint-Germain at 3:30 PM

Aleksandr Zykov from Russia, CC BY-SA 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons

This one-day Â鶹APP itinerary takes you to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of Â鶹APP’s most picturesque neighborhoods, after lunch. This lovely church, built in 558, is the only extant Romanesque structure in Â鶹APP. Locals and travelers from all over the world wander down this famous Â鶹APP boulevard to admire centuries-old buildings, sip an Americana from a nice sidewalk cafe, or pick up a new scarf from a cute boutique.

Then, on the other side of Boulevard Saint-Germain, in streets like Rue de Buci, there are plenty of nice cafés and bars worth a stop for a late coffee or an early aperitif while people-watching.
