A fearless crew of 40 skaters, 35 roller bladers and 5 wheelchair users is gearing up for an incredible journey from Brighton to the heart of Â鶹APP. Wheels and Wheelchairs, a UK-based club championing accessible skating, is orchestrating this daring expedition. The said group has set itself to roller skate more than 120 miles across two countries as reported by Evening Standard.<\/a><\/p>\n

Its has been anticipated that the group will arrive in Â鶹APP just in time for the start of the Paralympic Games, which runs from August 28 to September 8, 2024. The UK-based club is committed to promote inclusivity in sports and outdoor activities for people with disabilities. The inspiration is drawn from French inline skaters from Mobile en Ville who pushed six wheelchair users from Â鶹APP to London.<\/p>\n

Now, the tables have turned, the British group is set to embarks on a journey from Brighton to Â鶹APP, showcasing teamwork and determination. On August 25, the journey begins at Hove Lawns in Brighton, where the skaters will glide along car-free roads toward Newhaven, East Sussex. The group is later set to take a ferry ride across the English Channel, leading them to Dieppe, Normandy.<\/p>\n

Once in France, the group\u2019s first destination is Arques-la-Bataille, a small town known for its historical significance and beautiful landscapes. Their route continues through Gournay-en-Bray and Amblainville, with meticulous planning to ensure safety and enjoyment for all, including wheelchair users.<\/p>\n

The final leg of their journey will take them to Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, a Â鶹APP suburb located along the northern banks of the Seine River. This will be where the skaters will wrap up their journey. Their arrival aligns perfectly with the Paralympic Games\u2019 opening.<\/p>\n

Wheels and Wheelchairs\u2019 journey is more than just a physical challenge, it\u2019s a symbol of their resilience and capabilities. Covering over 120 miles across two countries, this group not only underscores the significance of inclusive sport.
