 <\/span>Lucky stargazers in Ireland are in for a celestial treat as a rare Supermoon Blue Moon will adorn the night sky. Whether it’s Monday or Tuesday night, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting to witness the breathtaking event.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Enthusiasts are advised by experts that Monday is the prime opportunity<\/a> to catch the awe-inspiring sight, but Tuesday evening will not disappoint either. This occurrence, where two full moons appear in a single month, is typically referred to as a blue moon.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Astronomy Ireland has clarified that the moon’s proximity to Earth can fluctuate by up to 15 per cent, resulting in a heightened luminosity. When the moon is close to Earth, it is designated as a supermoon, leading to a 30 per cent increase in brightness.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>This year, skygazers can look forward to four consecutive Supermoons, making this astronomical phenomenon all the more special. Astronomy Ireland further elaborated that the Super Blue Moon, a conjunction of a Blue Moon and a Full Moon, is exceedingly rare. Experts caution that such an event will not recur until 2037.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>The Editor of Astronomy Ireland magazine emphasized the unique opportunity during this lunar event, encouraging individuals to capture creative photographs on Monday and Tuesday evenings from sunset onwards. These images will have the chance to be featured in the Astronomy Ireland magazine and preserved in the National Libraries of both Ireland and Great Britain.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>David Moore, an expert from Astronomy Ireland, explained that a supermoon<\/a> occurs when the moon is closer to Earth than usual, making it appear 30 per cent brighter. Additionally, due to the “moon illusion” effect, the full moon rising may seem even larger. Moreover, the convergence of a supermoon and blue moon renders this event extraordinary, with the next anticipated occurrence not until 2032, an eight-year wait.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>As the best time to view the supermoon is during moonrise, enthusiasts are encouraged to witness this celestial spectacle as the sun sets, enhancing the illusion of an enlarged moon through “The Moon Illusion” effect.<\/span><\/p>\n
