Londoners and visitors alike, get ready for a riot of color, sound, and flavor! The Notting Hill<\/a> Carnival is set to take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend as is custom, and expectations are running high. Crowds will join in London’s biggest street party, and one of the oldest in the world. <\/p>\n

First held in 1966, the carnival is a dazzling celebration of Caribbean heritage and culture, with more than two million people expected to participate this year. The festival features a vibrant fusion of music, dance, food, and art, so here\u2019s what you need to know as you mark your calendars!<\/p>\n

What are the dates?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Notting Hill Carnival 2024 will take place on August 25th<\/sup> (families, children parade), and 26th<\/sup> (adult parade). On 24th<\/sup>, the Panorama evening will run from 16.00 to 23.00h as is tradition. Numerous steel bands from across the country will be competing in the UK National Panorama Steel Band Competition, which will take place at Emslie Horniman\u2019s Pleasance Park, W10 3DH.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  While the main festival is free to attend, tickets for the panorama 2024 will be on sale soon as communicated on the organizer\u2019s website.<\/a><\/p>\n

What to Expect?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Besides the colorful blaze of feathers on the streets of W11, the carnival offers an immersive experience. Here are some of the things you can expect:<\/p>\n

Music<\/strong>: You are about to get lost in a sea of pulsating rhythms and great sound systems. From steel bands, to calypso, soca, reggae, and dancehall, energetic music fills the air, and the atmosphere is fit for it!<\/p>\n

Costumes and Parade<\/strong>: The carnival is a visual spectacle, with thousands of people adorned in meticulous costumes. The parade is a colorful procession of floats, dancers, and musicians, winding its way through the streets of Notting Hill.
